Now, with Valero still not 100%, it's looking like it will be a 3-4-2-1 with Ilicic and Rossi behind Kalinic.

I like what I've seen from Chiesa so far. About the only bright spot in the first half.

I was a little shocked he got the start, not shocked at the result. If we finish top 5 this year I will be pleasantly surprised.

I don't know why we wouldn't barring any major departures. Most of our squad is just one year better than last season. Maybe Rossi could even contribute some.

Major departures is what I'm worried about. Looks like Rossi is on his way out (not a big deal), but if someone like Kalinic or Valero leave I think we crash out of Europa placing.

On a separate note how did Tata play this weekend? I know we were rumored to be looking for real competition for him this summer - other than that 19 y/o kid.

I wouldn't really blame Tata for either goal but he was not particularly confidence-inspiring.

Tata kicked the ball out of play about 5 times from kick off, each of which was supposed to find Alonso. It seems like a training ground routine that just didn't click.

I'd like to see more from Chiesa, he should be starting against mid to lower table teams, he can thrive against them. As a defender I think Salcedo will be left out of this game, he surely has no chemistry with the back line yet.

Yeah, I think Salcedo *just* got to Italy as he had some red tape problems.

We've been in complete control but haven't created much in the way of chances.

    Vecino left injured for Badelj.

Tata is still "on queer street" as they used to say in boxing. Lezzerini on. Two subs used.

They should've taken Tata off right after he got hit. Even if he felt fine that had concussion written all over it. This game should be 2-0 at minimum. But we're playing well so I'm pleased. I think the final substitution may be for another midfielder, Borja's already looking pooped.

I agree with all of that. Here are our remaining subs. Plenty of options.

Dragowski, Diks, Salcedo, De Maio, Fernandez, Bernardeschi, Toledo, Chiesa, Hagi, Babacar

Things are wide open now. Lezzerini not inspiring confidence at the moment. Both sides with chances.

Sanchez off, possible knee injury. This is not good. Mati warming up along with others.

Berna on. I guess Valero drops back to pair Badelj.
