The new season is around the corner and that means we will once again play along with the Serie A Prediction Tournament. Our scudetto holder from last season is @annoyingracoon01 who will want to defend his title. The rules are pretty simple and as long as you keep up each week, you will be in the running. The format we have used the last few years is as follows: Predict the result for each match (Blue 2:1 Red) If it is the exact score, then 3 points earned If it is the correct result (win/draw), then a point is earned The individual with the highest total for the week receives an additional 2 bonus points For example: Blue 2:1 Red Black 0:0 White Yellow 0:2 Green I will post the fixture next week. I will post the fixture list next. I ask folks to use that format as when I check results, it will be order. It is in alphabetical order of the home side. The predictions can be posted in any of the following methods: white 1:0 black red 2-2 blue orange : purple 0-2 Just make sure it is easy to read and to figure out what you are predicting. If you have a change of heart in a prediction or two, then repost but please repost the entire fixture. I will tabulate the last prediction posted. I have a number of results to check, so it is possible and likely from time to time that I make an error. Just post for me to review again. I have no problem making corrections. I miss playing this!!! Anyway so many new players, and changes to teams. Atalanta 1-1 Lazio Bologna 1-0 Crotone Chievo 0-2 Inter Empoli 2-0 Sampdoria Genoa 1-1 Cagliari Juventus 3-1 Fiorentina Milan 2-0 Torino Palermo 1-2 Sassuolo Pescara 0-3 Napoli Roma 2-1 Udinese There are a number of teams I don't know what to expect. I am 99% sure Juventus will win it as always, while Napoli look promising in terms of their players. Gabbiadini is underrated and Milik is a class player. They also made some improvements to their defense. Inter have made some good signings but Mancini is inconsistent and we never know what he will do with the team. Roma I am not so sure. They have lost Pjanic, Digne, and a few other players and as far as I can see they have failed to replace them, however DDR is still a good player and Nainggolan is also good when fit. Spaletti is a good manager and I believe he knows what he is doing so I am not sure where Roma will fall. AC Milan I have no idea. Same team as last season, new manager. Lazio new manager same team as last minus Candreva, again not sure. However I expect Lazio not to do that well. Fiorentina probably the same as last season, maybe a little better. Sassuolo, who knows, maybe same as last season. I think they have passion and really want to try and be even better but their lack of quality will prevent that from happening.
