Starts after Luhukay's departure. Described as "fast and tricky". http://www.stuttgarter-zeitung.de/g...lse.d33e887f-b705-4ab4-9872-0cfd161f3151.html
... and has an assist. A bit lucky to find the ball back into his feets, but a nice cross! subbed out
VfB managed to go 3 down in Dresden right before the HT, so Asano got subbed in for the knocked Klein.
Goal! Edit: Somehow I completely forgot that Hiroki Yamada is still playing for KSC (Stuttgart's host).
Yeah so what Saku? He scores one goal? All I suggested was that Asano will likely have more opportunities for first team action with a team like Stuttgart than Arsenal.
He signed for Arsenal so might as well see how everything pans out before asking for him to stay with a Bundesliga 2 team. besides it's only one goal, the road ahead of him is still long.
Goal! Edit: And over, Stuttgart wins 3-1 against Nuremberg. Strong match by Asano who dominated the left side. In general Stuttgart offense which him, Terodde and Mane dominated, though I think the team should search Asano more (already good chemistry with Mane though who passed to him for both his assist and his goal). Assist: Goal:
By the way Takuma with 2 assists in the last 2 games and some good runs and chances. He looks very very strong at the moment and his speed is amazing. He often overuns the players and get fouled or create good chances or passing stations 12 games - 2 goals and 4 asissts. Some more goals would be nice but he plays more in midlefield/winger so its normal that you score a little less and he normaly played only 60 minutes cause Stuttgart has many good players. Good start I think
It's his first year in Germany, playing yes in second division...but with a team who is good enough to play in the Bundesliga. I don't think we could ask for more, and i think the loan will be extended next year.
What's more, I suspect it may have been a blessing that Luhukay, a proponent of rather negative football who can be a real hardass toward young players, departed making way for Hannes Wolf, a young modern coach who nurtured scores of talent in the Dortmund academy. Always good to work with quality colleagues both on the pitch and in the training ground.
The young modern coaches of now are the negative old coaches of the future, I never buy this kind of dichotomies. Luhukay crushed the record of points in BL2 and was considered good with Augsburg.
It's not necessarily about old or young. But Luhukay had a short leash with young players...and after all his favorite player was arguably Hosogai at Hertha (I'm sure you'd love that one).
