In that formation Kucka isn't a trequartista and Montolivo isn't the sole midfielder. There is 4 midfielders with Bonaventura and Sosa being your "wide midfielders". Kucka would be the central midfielder, and Montolivo would be the regista in this scenario. Not saying he should be there, nor should he play at all, but let's be honest, he isn't sitting on the bench. Put him in front of the defense where he has 3 midfielders ahead of him so he isn't a defensive liability.

Bonaventura is our best creator on this team. Putting him back in a 3 man midfield won't allow him to create as much as he could be doing. He does much more good than bad and I'd rather have him attacking than having to defend and track back because Montolivo is getting outrun.

Look at the formation you posted...it looks like a 4-1-3-2
From what I'm reading here you're suggesting we play a 4-2-2-2?
That is just as ********ing insane

And no, Bonaventura isn't that good in that position and no way in hell will he play over Suso there considering how well the latter did there last match

Sosa is not a Winger either

I'm not suggesting a 4-2-2-2, I said a 4-1-3-2. Bonaventura was better for us all last year in a more advanced role than one game of Suso. We'll just have to agree to disagree

So I was right you want Montolivo as the sole CM and Kucka as our Trequartista
    That is borderline suicide

Thank god Montella is not stupid enough to do this

Pretty weak second red. What was the first for? Niang shouldn't have touched Reina but the dude took a fantastic gold medal winning dive on that one. From the last few minutes, can't understand why some people  are crying that Milans been getting favors...oh well.

    Nothing to see here folks
Just good old Mafia A as usual
Ref killed the game by behaving like an autistic 4 year old baby pretending he's a referee and trying to set the world record for most cards in the game when most of those yellow cards were extremely soft and should have never been bookings

Can't forget that chance we had when the ball rebounded off of a Napoli player to Suso which was then ruled offside because ******** the rules of the game

    ******** this shitty league

Napoli haven't even hit their stride yet. They're clearly still figuring out a few things defensively and are expected to also integrate Rog/Diawara.

What I'm saying is the time to beat them was today because the home game is going to be a lot worse for us.

It would be 4 midfielders and they would just be positioned differently than the 3 we play currently and the 2 wingers. Tactically you would have Bonaventura/Kucka/Sosa and Montolivo behind them who doesn't move anywhere but right in front of the defense. That is 4 midfielders. Montolivo would not be "sole CM" and Kucka would not be the trequartista.

    Then it's a flexible 4-4-2
    Jesus man learn your formations

In any case Suso is going to be a starter from now on so forget about it

You're talking as if formations don't change during games, multiple times. They're not just static pictures on a screen, you know.

It's really difficult to move on from this and keep explaining myself but you keep making sly comments after every post, so I'll say it for one last time. If you understood formations, positioning and tactics at all than the formation I posted would make sense. You might not agree with the specific players or particular idea which would be no problem, but you continued to call it out for something it was not.

Now I have realized you don't understand positioning and tactics, next time I must do a better job of breaking it down for you so you can comprehend better. Alas, that was the formation I feel would be beneficial as my own opinion.
