Either double the lead or risk a late equalizer

3:0 Auba. Great assist by Kagawa. I hope he was only benched for so long because of injury issues.

Shinji's making his case with no small degree of force why he deserves to stay at Dortmund.

Bayern lost, we won. Great day for football. Let's hope we can run up their losing streak.

Kagawa is just not consistent enough through out the season and has too many bad games. I said it all last season but come the business end of the season it was Reus and Kagawa that drove the team. Hummels too until ge announced he was leaving.

He was very good today, but he is not a midfielder and Tuchel needs to stop playing him there.

Castro apart from the goal hadan awful game.

    Why won't he play 4-2-3-1?

Dafuq is wrong with you people? Bayern lost, be happy. Let's hope they lose every match. Taking care of Hoffenheim is upto us. Just like beating Bayern on the weekend is upto us.

The league is done. I care about coming top 3 and winning the CL/the cup. Personally I don'thate Bayern, I love Dortmund. I do hate clubs like United, Brighton and Millwall though.

Us losing to Bayern, Hoffenheim and finishing 4th is more looking more likely than us catching up to Bayern Munich. I'll take their losses, but Hoffenheim is a direct rival for us, lets hope we can win the remaining fixtures so it wouldn't be a worry

I get the mathematical grounds and the short term benefits but long term they need to lose no matter the opposition; every time they win it's more money from sponsors and more power to lure away a talent from us. Meanwhile, we should be doing better against the Herthas of this world.

Beating Bayern on the weekend is even more important now isn't it?

6th clean sheet in last 9. Not bad. Marc Bartra was immense.

It's an interesting dilemma now what formation Tuchel plays. I bet it will be the 4-1-4-1, because he is obsessed with showing it works just like Guardiola despite constant failures. The 4-1-4-1, does not allow the ball to be passed through the middle of the pitch, because teams form a block and isolate Weigl. Only when the team is perfect on the ball can they pass it out, which then gives them a numerical advantage in the attack in theory. The problem is that all 4 attacking players are flat and have less angles for the pass. There's also less running from deep, which is hard to defend against. Worse when the team eventually loses the ball, the full backs are up high and the other team has lots of space to run into. It's a formation that is more extreme than the Dutch/Barca 4-3-3 and always fails.

Kagawa is a big game player, has a lot of experience and is playing too well to drop. Tuchel should have prepared for this team.

    ------Burki---------
    LP---Sokratis---Bartra---Raphael
    --------Weigl----Merino-------
    Dembele---Kagawa-----Reus
    ------------Auba------------

Possibly switching LP for Passlack, but it's too late now. Merino does not have the minutes so Castro has to play. I just hope he does not play the 4-1-4-1 against Bayern or Monaco.

Why Merino wasn't developed all this time is flabbergasting. Castro, even at his best sucks. Loses the ball, makes poor decisions and is always slowing down the tempo. His moves are so predictable.

Yep it's truly astounding. Merino gives much needed physicality as well. Tuchel loves his stupid 4-1-4-1 though.

The second half showed the problem with Piszczek. Notice how, despite being poor, Dembele got very little of the ball and was isolated in the first half. Then he switched with Mor and the same thing happened to Mor.

It's because LP's touch and passing is so bad. Schmelzer is equally frustrating and Reus is visibly furious at him. We need full backs able to pass the ball into the feet of the widemen.
