Surprised to see Kagawa on the bench actually given he has not trained

Also I've seen suggestions that the lineup could actually be a 4-3-3 (with the high MF, played by Kiyotake).
I also thought 2 players had to be left out of the bench ?

I actually don't think the FIFA Laws of the Game define the number of substitutes you can name to the bench for friendly matches, only that a maximum of six substitutions can be made for an "A" international.

I can't believe that our maximum choice in place of Morishige is Maruyama.
    Please.

I aways believe Nakatani and Nakayama are better than Maruyama already.

    So it should be 5-0.

Anyway happy to see Osako scoring a brace and Yuki Kobayashi scoring his first international goal.

    Kiyotake brilliant as usual.

Very smoothie game against a not strong Oman but this should be the normaly case. A warm up friendly against an on paper weaker oponent which Japan play without doubt and pressure till 90th minute. 4 goals for the confidence.

Kiyotake is a beast, assit and very cool penalty, love him =)

I don't know if there was offside when Osako scored a goal in first half but maybe Honda was too close to the line there...

kiyotake took some time to get going, at first he looked like vintage Kagawa out there missing traps and passing to the opponents. The pitch was extremely wet, it wasn't a very accurate show overall. Gotta love Yamaguchi and Kobayashi today.

that second goal was just sublime, that's the kind of passing play that's been missing from Japan the last few games, glad to see the magic is still there.

one of Maruyama's first touches in the 2nd minute and he falls down while trying to clear and ends up hitting it right back to an Oman player just outside the area. I was thinking, true JNT material.
