Either Japan is playing for a draw, or they just dont know how to play.

Speedano really ready now. Out Honda.

Two minutes left for some of you to finally understand the gameplan coming into this game. Good luck.

Happy with the point but we had some golden chances (Asano again). WTF Halilhodžić has to use his bench way earlier. We were being destroyed in midfield for long periods during the second half and Honda was running empty. Ugly football. Time will tell how valuable this point was.

Kudos for executing the game plan, that was some defending. The players ran their asses off.

Japan's players are all over the pitch. There is no well-defined shape and structure. They need to make the team's shape more well-organized.

Japan with more bravery could have won this match. I expect more from Australia.

The shape was very well organized and Australia nearly had 0 chance, what did you watch ? Defensive tactics exist whether people like them or not.

It was Australia being shit, just as much as Japan well organized (but clueless with the ball)

Japan was getting overwhelmed the second half, they had no idea what to do when in possession.
On an additional note, Japan really does not defend well against crosses, they are quite poor in the air.

And yet had the two best chances.

And Australia have improved a lot but it's easier to say they're "shit, lol".

The aerial defending was excellent. The best chance off crosses between both teams was Kobayashi's header.
