Tonight I’m at Saitama Stadium and I'm sporting the new jersey, which is pure class.

I know I may sound a bit lame, given the rival and the current state of the JNT, but I’ve been a Samurai Blue fan for eleven years now, and it's great to finally be in Japan for a game.

4-4-2 for today. Kashiwagi on the left wing with Kanazaki-Okazaki pair in the front.

Okazaki's goal was the finest piece of skills we've seen in years in the NT.

First half was disappointing: after 1-0 - like against both Cambodia and first leg against Afghanistan - game became easier.

Give Mike that goal. By head. Never happen again.

Disappointing overall even w/ 5 goals considering Afghanistan barely touched the ball. And 2 of the goals just crept over the line. But there's no point beating a dead horse I guess.

I think Japan played great ! First half was not that hard...Japan wasted a few chances like often but Okazaki was the Man again =). Second half was very cool, the team looks like they enjoying football and they are fighting and grinding for every ball even at the stands 5-0. I like it.

By the way San Marino managed almost every game against Germany in EM/WM qualifiers ( their often in same group) a half time result by 0-0 or 0-1. In modern football it is often normal that a "worse" team hol up against a "good" team. You see it in Bundesliga...almost every team stands up in the first half against Bayern/Dortmund
