    Please remember that teams can change up to six players after the group stage. Perhaps, JK is trying to spread the wealth for both players and MLS teams?

    I'd add Rimando to that list. Can't figure out why he keeps getting named, while Hamid is left as an alternate. Sure, leadership and experience are important components, but doesn't Guzan provide that at this point?

    Ah, so THAT'S why we haven't signed a defender yet. Burns has been too busy working on this....

    Thanks - that implies teams will be at Full Strength even though the Euro season is just starting?

    Does anyone know if they plan to keep the grass down for next week's match vs. NYC?

    If anyone watched the snoozefest US/Panama last night: In the pre-game, there was a Brad Evans interview. He made the comment "All the guys here are winners. If you look at the roster the players are coming from the better teams in MLS".

    Not sure if this will have any relation to the Revs, but here's the US group as our qualifying for 2018 starts.

    Sounds like if Jones doesn't play Friday, he could be back to play for us on Saturday. If he only plays a little, maybe he can give some sub minutes.

    Those that aren't injured will fade in the second half with legs of jello after his camp beat down

    I think Jones is there for his experience, unless something happens I don't think he should play. I do see Nguyen as a late game sub if we want to hold possession and he shown he can be a great human pinata and draw fouls. I can envision him in the 2002 Cobi Jones role when the US went up 2-0 against Mexico.

    So the guy who has played in every national game when healthy shouldn't play but the guy who's only had minor call ups should? In the biggest one off game of the year? Sounds like spot on Klinsmann analysis! (;

    Guardado left the PSV CL match yesterday due to an injury. Not sure if it will affect his chances to play for Mexico next month.

    I think you have to look at form. JJJ hasn't shown he can run above a walking pace yet, so no way should he see the field. I think Lee is a tactical sub in the same way Alan Gordon is a tactical sub. They both do very specific things well, and I don't think the opponent or the game trumps that.

    Not a great day yesterday- I was going crazy on the Wood goal, only to be shattered by the final volley.

    Jones goes 120min and although not his best game playing in a different role for him - man, his will is like a band of unbreakable iron.

    U23s lost in the semi-final which means they have to play Tuesday and win against Canada in the 3rd place game, to then play a one-off game against Colombia in March for the Olympics.

    That is putting it mildly. What could have been a great day for US Soccer was exactly the opposite. No Confed Cup as a result of a horrible Gold Cup and then not being able to get the job done in the one-game playoff, and then another failure by the U23 team. Hanging on to Olympic hopes by the thinnest of margins.

    I am by no means a JK hater, but seriously - is his job even in jeopardy as a result of all of this? It should be.
