The marketing scheme seems to be getting pictures with an inanimate object. How is this not working? 646039372610015232 is not a valid tweet id
I counted 182 seats left in the river end. Which is roughly the size of one of the end sections. 137 is completely sold out. Looks pretty good as far as the supporters go. Add in the procrastinating stragglers and I think its going to be packed.
If they were smart, they'd provide an option to acquire some additional cheap/free tickets for Season ticket holders who HAVE bought their seats. I imagine we all know of a few casual fans who may be able to fill in some of the gaps, but are reluctant to cough up the cash for actual tickets of their own volition.
STH can do just that - buy tickets at a slightly reduced rate. I bought one for my friend that's a casual fan.
I knew we can get extra tickets by calling our rep. I was thinking more of those extra free ones we got in recent years for early Cup games.
This isn't an early round cup match and I think those that already bought extras, like myself, would be pretty pissed if they just started throwing free extras around to fill the park with casuals
I dunno, I paid for extras, but I'd take more for free. If anyone from the FO is reading this, you can PM for details.
They did do this. I don't have STH, but my parents do and after the other STH seats were released he got an email that allowed them to order extra seats at the STH price. He sent me the code and I did it online. Got midfield $40 seats for $30. I think the deal ran for about a week or so, but I'm sure if you called your rep they would likely still honor it.
I can't blame them too much. People complain that they are not doing all they can to market this game, but if they DO try to market it, people still complain. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't it seems. It's a shame that only Edu seems to be out in media land doing the promotion.
I think most people are ok with the media appearances. The problem people have is being spammed with emails for a game they're probably already going to and the team parading around with a cup they've not yet won.
Everybody spam @opencup on twitter with questions about TV until they give in and tell us once and for all that it won't be televised.
Wouldn't it be better to spam Fox Sports or something? I think that guy just runs the website with the bracket.
