The Lakers conundrum; Russell, Okafor, or trade down? Which one is it?

If I had to pick, I'd go for Okafor unless there was a trade that was appealing.

    Dallas. Along with Ty Lawson

This is the moment @MatthausSammer has been waiting for. Focus off the finals and now to the offseason! :D

Here's an offseason question for you all.....will Thibs be emplyoed this upcoming season and if so, where?

No, if I had to guess. He should wait for the right opportunity.

So Doc has told the media in an interview that he's far from finished regarding this offseason. The plan is to trade Wilcox and Crawford for a starting calibre SF (the name being tossed around is Chandler), while trying to lure in Pierce. Also from what I understand, Lance will be coming off the bench. Not a bad idea, especially if they can get Pierce. Without Paul, I'd rather see Redick come off the bench to provide an offensive boost, since Lance is the better defensive player (though the difference isn't that much IMO).

I also think they'll try to get an aditional big man. That could most likely come in the before mentioned trade as well. I'm liking Doc's activity and for the most part he seems knows what the team has been lacking. It looks like a positive start for LAC.

I originally thought Lance coming to the clips was risky but a big pay off it works out. But with Doc handling of players and his experience, I think it will pay off.

IMO a huge part of why Lance was ineffective with the Hornets was simple - the role was too big for him. He was brought in as sort of a focal point of that team. I don't think he was ready (or really has the potential) to be that. With the Clippers however, he'd be (if he were to start) the 4th option offensively (except maybe in ISO situations) and could do what he's best at - all the rest. His intangibles are what make him great (a lot like what Green does for the GSW, just in a different position). That's why I think he'd be better of starting, not leading the bench (also having two streaky shooters in Rivers and Lance is already a recipe for disaster).

It's a risky move, for all we know he might be done and out of the league in 2 years. But from what I've seen, he's putting in some serious time in the gym already, so I like what I'm seeing.

I'm just not so sure we need him. In the perimeter NBA these days - is he that important? Like Green may be more valuable with his defense and shooting.

Free agency? Once August comes by, it's dead season though, which sucks ass.
