Looks a lot better than the previous match's mothers day massacre of 3300! Still work to do for the Cosmos.
Still too early to tell, the game will be at 4pm this afternoon , I guess that most of the fans have not arrived yet
Damm. I forgot to put the smiley in there!! The guy was going wow about Edmonton so I was wondering what was going on. Oh well.

This is the most tickets either team sold this year. Hopefully they both can build on this. Overall this was a weak attendance week, combine that with one of the strongest weeks from last year, and that is why the average difference dropped below 1,000. Based on who plays at home next week (Indy, Minn, SA, Jacksonville) I expect it to go back up over 1,000. I also expect the season average to increase for the first time. I also wouldn't be surprised if attendance next week is higher than the opening week.
Good showing for the Eddies today. Close to the 3800 they drew for last Wednesday's Canadian Championship match vs one of the better MLS franchises, Vancouver Whitecaps who they played to the brink and came close to beating. Long break now for FCE with the Women's World Cup in Canada starting soon and Clarke being used for it, next home match is on July 26 in the Fall Season. Next "temp home" match July 5 at Fort Mac's new 5K stadium.
This match could/should be a big deal for remote Fort McMurray -- not like there is too much to do there. It would not surprise me if the Eddies get a 'big' crowd for this one.
Just as a point of reference, opening week was 44,479 in 5 games, for an 8,896 average that they have not gotten within 2k of since. Ottawa, Indy, Jacksonville, Minnesota and San Antonio are at home. Those five teams' combined averages would give a total of about 38,700, meaning they'd be about 5,500 short. Indy can't get anybody else in. (Though the NASL lists their capacity at 12,111) Jacksonville's playing in the ballpark, not the NFL stadium. (Capacity 8,500). If everybody basically maxed out and Ottawa did its second 10k+ crowd ever, they could pull it off, but it doesn't seem terribly likely.
Rather pointless, since the difference in the combined average of those team and week one is Jacksonville playing at Everbank in week 1.
Rare Friday match for Ottawa Fury FC at home to host Canadian rival FC Edmonton. Will be interesting to see if they can draw close to the 5200+ they did the last game.
I now know Ottawas numbers are messed up. They drew alot more this game then the 5200 last game, this seemed like their best attended game outside of the opener of the fall season last year. People I talked to at half were like "this is easily 6000" Now I saw bus loads of groups being dropped off so I'm thinking those are the free youth tickets and they aren't being counted. Or the paid was the same as always and this time everyone actually showed up.
10,226 in Indy, just short of a sellout, on a night with appalling weather that caused a two-hour rain delay. Of course, nowhere near that many were in the stands for the game's resumption after the delay, but given the forecast for virtually certain thunderstorms, and the dismal way the team had been playing, it was still an impressive number.
Nice crowd in JAX. It would be cool if Orlando City Lions, Tampa Bay Rowdies, Jacksonville Armada and FT Lauderdale Strikers had a Florida Cup between them. I know the Lions and Rowdies don't like each other much.
