league resumed, you can watch the match live if you're in for some low category football Starting: Gonda, Weinwurm, Bortel, Djordjevic (K), Yajima, Ljubic, Juric, Milosevic, Felber, Kawanaka, Vujanovic Bench: Mitmasser, Sakaki, Pranjic, Zatl, Kreso
Sakaki scored another brace, but Horn got a goal at the last minute, and now they sit 3 points from the top.
Another goal for Sakaki in today's win. 5 goals in the last 4 matches. N. Havenaar has played '90 in the last 2
Wait N.Havenaar is Big Mike little brother? Cuz when I ask about him someone said me he's not even a professional.
it's him. He was basically in Gampus youth before moving to SV Horn (was also registered for JLeague but didn' play).
Honda fired the coach and put a Japanese one because the previous one wasn't using the Japanese players enough. Yet so far he uses the same lineup...
Well, now Havenaar is playing, but the only interesting one (Arai) is either injured or out for some reason, can't even blame him. They lost Gonda and Milosevic, basically the best players :/ edit: uh, actually I don't see any japanese coach?
719516192319369216 is not a valid tweet id the guy initially used the word coach, didn't see the v2 of the tweet.
I double checked on Horn's website, actually you were probably right. Johann Kleer was the coach up until april, and the one who now appears around on Soccerway for example is actually the vice-coach. Christoph Westerthaler wird als Co-Trainer weiterhin ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Betreuerstabs bleiben und seine langjährige Erfahrung im Team weitergeben.
Yes they did it!! Based on the fact that second-placed team Austria Vienna hasn't granted a license to play in Austria's second tier, and they can't be overcome by other teams with 4 games to play, they got promoted. So Interesting, I think they can sign and attract better players next season, either domestic, foreigners or Japanese. .., and if they get better players + better coaching I hope they can push for a promotion to Austria's Bundesliga (1st tier).
http://www.sueddeutsche.de/news/spo....urn-newsml-dpa-com-20090101-160427-99-737104 Interesting article, from what I tried to understand it seems that Horn's whole infrastructure is owned by the club, so no rents, etc. Even though the "fan pool" is very limited since the city's population is small (usually 1500~ fans for 4000 places in the stadium). It also says that there are around 20k viewers when the matches are streamed in Japan, which honestly I find hard to believe but if that's the case good.
Two more interesting parts I wasn't aware of before: Horn has a tiny population of 6600, and Honda Estilo owns 49% of the commercial part of the club.
What a strange group of Japanese players they have brought in, lol. Sakaki were labelled "Hokkaido's Messi" a few years ago, due to his tiny size and good technical skills, but only ended up scoring 1 goal or something for Consadole. Maybe he can grow as a player at Horn, and come back to Japan a stronger player? Nikki probably wouldnt have gotten to Nagoya with a "normal" name, although some people expected big things from him as well due to his height etc. That Gonda plays for such a low-level club is also very surprising, but as others have mentioned its probably related to his depression. The other players seems like a random group of young players. Without having ever seen them play, I would guess a J1 or J2 club would have picked them up if they were really that talented. But as in all things, there are more than 1 way to success, and they as well might come back stronger players.
So Horn "officially" won the league yesterday, licenses or not, with a 2 point lead. Curious to see which japanese players will join the club this summer
yep. And if they're serious, they'll prepare the summer to get promoted again. And it'll be hard as it's only the first again.
