That sort of football played by Jeonbuk was only going to kill them. Terrible terrible display from start to finish

What a heartbreak. So nearly there but wasn't quite good enough.

    Highlights for the match:

Not the scoreline I expected given Jeonbuk's thrashing of FC Seoul a few days ago.

The CMs were terrible at keeping possession and distributing the ball today. I thought Lee Jae-Sung was the 12th player for Gamba given the number of lay-offs he gave to the Gamba players.

Lee Dong-Gook was a shadow of himself against FC Seoul, no input whatsoever in the match.

Lee Keun-Ho was poor but his assist for Urko Vera was good.

Overall, thought they should have used Urko Vera from the beginning. The Gamba defence could not handle him in the box and his goal came when he was fully marked, just because of his sheer stature.

Also, Choi Kang-Hee fails to break his winless jinx in Japan. His record away in Japan is 1 draw 9 losses.

On the side note, one Korean footballer is guaranteed to win the AFC Champions League winners medal since all four teams that have reached the semi-finals have a Korean in their team:

    Gamba Osaka - Oh Jae-Suk
    Guangzhou Evergrande - Kim Young-Kwon
    Al Ahli - Kwon Kyung-Won
    Al Hilal - Kwak Tae-Hwi

Jeonbuk sucks. Choi Kanghee also sucks. Enough with the crap longballs and ridiculous thick line soccer BS. They look like amateurs with crap organization.

Did you actually watch them play? If anything, they SHOULD have played long balls over the top against Gamba and used target strikers like Urko Vera.

That defense on the last goal was shambolic.

First time a Korean side didn't move on to the semi-finals since 2008.

Oh well, now I can stop paying attention to the Champions League until the next one.
