Fc Seoul is down 2 goals. Need 4 goals in the second half to win. I think it's all over for FC Seoul. Hopefully Seongnam wins tonight.
soft penalty. If Guangzhou scores this penalty.... this match is looking more like Juventus--Real Madrid
I've been preaching about this dude since many moons ago, and it's still a mystery as to why he's still not getting called up to the NT to this very day.
hopefully this will give teams more vigor to perform on the continental stage again. defenses need to improve.
Well, at least we can concentrate on the league again. The clock is already ticking for Choi Yong-soo, so if the league and FA cup performances are mediocre, i'm pretty sure he'll get the boot. Kudos to Seongnam to making it this far. They can hold their heads up high. Giving Guangzhou Evergrande and Gamba Osaka a run for their money is an amazing achievement for a citizen club like Seongnam.
Its really annoying that East and West is separated like this. All the strong teams are clustered in the East (no offence to the West). As for Jeonbuk, I think they got the best possibly opponent as possible. Avoiding Kashiwa or Guangzhou early is the best thing for Jeonbuk imo.
I hope this is the case because I think Gamba is to be Jeonbuk's toughest opponent possible. Jeonbuk couldn't beat Kashiwa during the group stage, but seeing how the Hyundai club overcame Chinese teams (Shandong and Beijing) so far, I think Guangzhou was a more advantageous draw for Jeonbuk. Not to mention that some analysts say that this season's Guangzhou Evergrande is very weak compared to previous seasons (plus they just went through a managerial change). Seeing how Gamaba Osaka ripped apart FC Seoul, and thinking about the style of defense Jeonbuk uses, I worry that the particular style of attack Gamba employs is particularly dangerous to Jeonbuk. Well I hope Jeonbuk does well.
That because Gamba Osaka ripped apart FC Seoul, it doesnt mean anything to Jeonbuk. Its FC Seoul LOL.
okay. I have to admit more than I'd like to... FC Seoul and Jeonbuk are levels apart this season. But I'm still kind of worried about Jeonbuk's performance against Kashiwa (both legs). Perhaps if Gamba and Kashiwa play similar styles of football, Jeonbuk will have to improve.
Good news for Jeonbuk as Lee Keun-ho is able to play in the ACL and against his former club Gamba Osaka. Lee Kyu-ro OUT dur to an injury and Lee Keun-ho IN as replacement.
South Korea are not so strong as in past, but Jeonbuk can win the title... they are 1st in K-League and remained only korean competitive club. Will be an interesting battle there, against Gamba
I found it quite fascinating at how Jeonbuk was actually the team to concede the least out of the four East Asia clubs. I guess Jeonbuk's club image played a part. Kashiwa is a goal machine club, although Suwon played a good part this year lol CHOI BACKS CHAMPIONS DNA TO LIFT JEONBUK More: http://www.the-afc.com/afc-champions-league-2015/choi-backs-champions-dna-to-lift-jeonbuk
Unfortunately Jeonbuk are not in a good form right now - I really do think they should leave LKH out for this match as he really needs three or four matches to get his match fitness back. Crossing my fingers and I can't wait for this match.
We might have to see where Choi Chul-soon and Kim Kee-hee is playing. It could be a normal back four with Kim Kee-hee has DM and Choi Chul-soon as RB. or alternatively a back three with Kim Kee-hee, Wilkinson and Kim Hyung-il. It depends where the two plays. Other than that, it looks like a normal attacking Jeonbuk wingers/forwards. But Lee Jae-sung will have to do a lot of work with a midfield that has been put out. Han Kyo-won needs to make am impact as well as he has been nothing but a stinker since he has come back (not that he was outstanding before the suspension...)
