That should have never happened again. The Big Bird is supposed to be where the visiting teams are due to lose.
They're stacked in attack, especially right behind the striker(s). But they still continuously have two problems which never always seem to trouble them - the central midfield & central defense. But since last season, Kim Ki-hee & Wilkinson became the central players to the defense and the central defense is overall settled (add to that return of Cho Sung-hwan (although he's form could be something to think about) & Kim Hyung-il who I still rate very high despite his small appearances with Pohang last season). Whether Wilkinson leaves or not I dont think it will matter too much because the central defense will be centered with Kim Ki-hee with different partners next to him. So CB problems are more or less settled/solved. However, the biggest problem is central midfield (which is not really new with Jeonbuk). Kim Nam-il left, Jung Hyuk left which are two instant squad players. So they have Jung Hoon, Choi Bo-kyung & Kwon Kyung-woon to choose as starters (unless Lee Jae-sung goes to central midfield). But the problem has always been the same - they really suck at passing and the build-up play. Kwon Kyung-won is expected to stand up this season and Choi Kang-hee is expecting more from him this year, so we can save our reservations about him for now. But there really isnt good enough partner which stands out in midfield. If problems are shown early on, then manager Choi would have no choice to use Moon Sang-yoon or Lee Jae-sung there. Choi Ji-won might get a chance and he could be like the new Lee Jae-sung or Lee Ju-yong, but thats not expected for now. On a bad day, Jeonbuk's midfield could look really bad imo.
They're stacked for sure but who knows as Ulsan could pull an upset (Really looking forward to Yoon Jung-Hwan's work).
best supported club in K-League vs best supported club in J-League. if the battle on the pitch isn't entertaining, the battle in the stands will be. I expect a huge away crowd from Urawa at Big Bird. hopefully Suwon brings a sizeable fan support to Saitama.
wouldn't surprise me at all. they have a knack of bringing a ton of supporters to AFC CL away matches. I remember they doubled Jeonbuk's supporters in an AFC CL match a few years back in Jeonju. embarrassing for Jeonbuk but it goes to show how well they're supported.
