Accusations such as that can be harmful. If you have a link or a source please give it, if you don't then shut up.

but I mean.... now that the ref did this to us it hard to give an opinion on CQ. i was going to give him a chance to win the asian cup...which would have justified his defensive approach. he COULD have done it.. but we will now never know.

Carlos Queiroz proved a much better coach for Iran than I had worried he would be, relying what I had heard about him from Portuguese fans and the fans of other teams he had coached. I certainly had given up on Iran and the team he was coaching midway through the qualifiers in 2013, when I was almost sure Iran would not qualify to the World Cup. Even after we qualified, I wasn't a big fan of Queiroz because he was often very focused in giving reasons why Iranian fans and officials had no right to expect any results from him. I also felt he was too stubborn and authoritarian and questioned some of his other moves and felt they were motivated mostly by self-interest (monetary and otherwise) over the interest of Iran's team. Right after the World Cup, when he was negotiating renewal of his contract, my attitude towards Queiroz was not necessarily any more favorable. I just didn't like him then and didn't find his tactics all that interesting.

But I am largely content with what he did with our team in this Asian Cup. Sure, our possession stats looked awful and he made Iran play defensively against teams which we used to dominate in possession as well as on the scoreboard. But the truth is that some of those teams are improving and are more worthy rivals than they used to be. Qatar and the UAE have serious professional leagues and their football has improved. Queiroz's tactics, moreover, while not pleasing to the eye, didn't leave us with any worse results than before. Indeed, arguably, he did better with the talent we had at this time than others might have done? (I am not sure, but I doubt we would have done better with someone else and result wise, at the end his accomplishments are at worse just par).

Anyway, while I prefer we start with a coach that will try to bring a more offensive, possession oriented, approach to the game, I am not going to blame him for our early exit from the Asian Cup. Not at all.

i cant blame him either for the exit.. as i said.. he COULD have won the cup using defensive approach.. we will never know.

however, he did nothing special. he is on the same level as branko/ghotbi. i dont think he has anything more to offer to Iran at this point. we should get another coach and starting playing attacking football and start preparing the team for world cup 2018.

and i disagree with you about qatar/uae. they both suck. uae advanced over japan but japan raped them. and qatar was horrible.

You only have yourself to blame for losing, so I'd advice you to commit suicide instead of taking out your barbaric practices on other innocents.

    Good job Iraq. GOOD!

Be a good boy, or Iran might just stop feeding your people. You know that little Arab refugee camp you call "Palestine"

Half of the top four in Asia are Arabs.

It should be an all-Arab final like 2007

there is already an all arab final... its called wahhabi vs sunni vs shia.. killing each other like barbarians. and yet you bite at the hand that feeds you and instead prefer wahhabis who do not condemn the zionists. you are confused.

the only all arab final will be the battle for the losers match, 3rd place, in which 2 lucky arab teams who do not deserve to be there get to have a little consolation match over who is less shitty.:D
