I think Iran and UAE will make it out of this group. They are simply better than Qatar and Bahrain. Easy group to predict.

Yea, no shame at all, when you were calling Shojaie a grassroller in '11 AC against Korea when infact he was playing with a dislocated shoulder.

You're underestimating both Bahrain and Qatar. Specially Bahrain. They play the most obnoxious antifootball game ever known to man. Although since the venue is in Australia, I'm optimistic about beating them.

different scenarios buddy. i dont remember all the guys that grassrolled but for sure ur gk rahmati. u guys won that game but its amazing how u guys dont recognize how one sided the match was and how we used b/c players with a few A team players, u guys are acting like u were dominating the whole match

We beat you with 10 man in Tehran with attacking football. And in Ulsan we deployed a defensive strategy. You weren't "dominating" because you could, we were letting you in and defending very deep and counting on counter strikes. We deployed the same strategy against Uzbekistan away.

Anyhow, my point is that teams like Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Suadi, Kuwait are in fact legitimate grassrollers and as despicable as it is, it's part of their culture. But what you do is just as despicable via trying to smear Iran's name by associating Iran with these teams which just shows your ignorance when Iran has been the biggest victim of their terrorizing grassrolling tactics on countless occasions.

Except we don't. Once you foul on someone with a physical contact and that person goes down it's usually a legitimate injury for Iran. That's what I'm saying. You muddy the waters between legitimate injuries and grassrolling to get undeserved sympathy for your losses.

Infact, Iranians are so much against grassrolling that in IPL the concept of fairplay has all but evaporated due to the over exposure to arabs exploiting it against us. They play on irrespective of the fallen player until the ball goes out of bounds or the ref stops the game, and Iran is doing the same thing against all the arab teams that have grassrolled against us in the past. With the only exception being Iraq as they seem like an honorable side.

Bro, Iran is not a grassrolling team LOL. I think Rahmati gave this dirty reputation to us it's funny how you generalize and it has basically became an excuse for Korea's losses to Iran recently. Rahmati is not part of Iran national team and we have absolutely no player that is not fairplay. But I have to admit that even I laughed at Rahmati's grassrolling vs Korea (I think it was the match in Azadi).

On the group indeed we have unfortunately some teams that will play with the least fairplay possible. Grassrolling specialists I should say. We will have to score early on so we can open the floodgates on them :D

Iran and three nations from the Khaleej... This group lacks a bit of continental cosmopolitan-ness about it. I think Iran and UAE advance- Qatar sacks manager two games in.

UAE on the rise and Iran already one of the best in Asia. Easiest group to predict in my opinion.

Meanwhile Qatar is struggling against the likes of Macedonia and Indonesia while Bahrain has always been a mediocre team.

^ lol... You guys are crazy to just dismiss qatar and bahrain in favor of u.a.e. They all play antifootball but bahrain is so bad that it can actually force a suicide from the opposition team member right in the middle of the pitch and exploding eye balls will be a plenty among players and fans.

bahrain is essentially the antithesis to fairplay. They'd be more at home in a bollywood film, in there they can grassroll to their heart's content and win their truly deserved grassrolling championship trophy and even make a case to the Olympic committee to recognize it as their national sport.

I just bought tickets to the Iran vs Bahrain game, and I was hoping to have the use of my eyeballs for at least the rest of my life. So disappointed now.

    Ah, a masochist, eh?

Well, I suppose if you're not emotionally invested in either team then your eyes will be safe from unilateral rage induced and quite possibly combustible explosions; HOWEVER, lack of emotional attachment does not merit an automatic warrant to secede the urge of stabbing your eyes out with a fork - anything sharp and within grasp, really - after watching 5 bahrainy players falling down simultaneously without any physical contact the instant the ball goes out of bounds for the nth time. With 'n' being very subjective to your personal threshold of witnessing gross lack of indignation by the referee after watching the shameless decadence of these particular brands of our species. Mankind as a whole has been on decline since bahrain FA decided on having a national team.

P.S. I'll probably be at the stadium as well. :D

I agree. But I think our matches against all the other teams will be like that. Our oppositions located around the Persian gulf (almost all of them) are really good at forcing suicides! I think the only way to avoid that is two nice early goals :-D

^ That's what I'm saying. If you don't score early in the first 15 minutes - and we don't do that often enough - then they'd just kill the game vis a vis endless grassrolling mode. And grassrolling doesn't just waste time. It kills the momentum of the opposition as well as even breaking their will to come out and fight or inversely ignite an emotional response which would be detrimental to the overall stability of the team and make them vulnerable to counter attacks.

I did my predictions for all groups in a few days ago. I predicted Uae and Bahrain with coach Adnan Hamad will qualify to the quarter final. I predict group stage exit for Iran and Qatar.
