He didn't start for half of his team matches, how it come? Anyway, I think @Saku² will love this one.

Man no one cares about this guy Looking dangerous firing in shots and crosses against Mönchengladbach.
Which means Gotoku and Hasebe face each other on the same flank. Gotoku plays very conservative aside his occasional attacking moves like that one shot. Hasebe interprets his role more like an defensive inverted winger, advancing often and going inward for some playmaking moves. One of few good Franfurt players imo, Inui did well to leave that team.
on cue, Hasebe fires in a shot from outside the box that goes just wide. but Frankfurt have the Fußballgott!!
Gotoku got hurt in a clash with Hasebe right on the middle line. Looked like he needs to be subbed at first, laying on the ground quite long, but running again now.
Another good performance by Gotoku, taking part in Hamburg's opening goal in their 1-1 home draw against Inglostadt.

Gotoku had been very active in offense especially in first half where he was responsible for half of HSV's 8 shots, a personal best.

Starting alongside Japanese-American (and USMNT striker) Bobby Wood. Nice. I hope that Hamburg has a very un-Hamburg-like season.
In the beginning of this interview, HSV teammate Bobby Wood mentions something to do with Chiba being 1/2 hr from Tokyo and practicing his Japanese with Gotoku.
Came in after 72 min when HSV was already down one man and three goals, having lost RB Diekmeier to a red 15 min before and then getting 2 goals until Sakai was finally subbed in as new RB. Lost 0-3 against Frankfurt.
Gotoku is starting as a right winger against BVB, according to the tactical lineup on the Bundesliga live ticker. EDIT: changed to DM. Interested to see how this works out
