The final score was Rotherham United 1:2 Wolverhampton with the last goal (scored by Wolverhampton) in the 44th minute. Rotherham United is in 23rd.
Brought back down to earth with a bump, the good news is that those around us lost and there are 4-5 teams struggling as much as we are.
Our club statement just said that City have recalled him, the prevailing theory is that it's because we have not been playing him. I'm really hoping for a win against Huddersfield tonight as we're starting to get cut adrift again, the only positive at the moment is that the way other teams are playing 40-45pts might be enough to stay up this season (if we can manage it!).
agreed. now we are behind birmingham and cardiff.... so even if we win today we won't move up the table. losing to teams that are way below us in the table will be our downfall. meh!
We've got Hull who can possibly go into the 2nd with a win today. I'm hoping for a shock win but we don't look able to get a result atm, even draws are hard to come by this season. It seems like teams just score early and then take it easy against us knowing that we're a bit useless. I wish we were more like Preston, they've been hard to beat all season so have kept their points ticking over with draws and have now even started scoring.
Yeah I read that they're a lot better defensively with him in the team but we've had our fair share of injuries/suspensions this season, Kirk Broadfoot missed our first 10 games due to suspension (for mouthing at James McClean last season) and he's being lauded as our best player in recent games. Ipswich have just recalled Luke Hyam from loan which is another blow for us and just as we're going into some key games.
GOOOOALLLLL!! Grant Ward!! We could do with a Cardiff getting a result now, they're currently 1-0 down to MK Dons.
Well we're still in the bottom three but great win, great performance and we're keeping up with the pack, we've improved our goal difference as well.
A late Charlton equaliser against Bristol, I didn't see that coming and we're now out of the relegation zone on goal difference.
Nice one, rovrum. Bolton are in a freefall, but that takes no luster off a fine result. And now soton go two up v the arse. A sterling Boxing Day thus far.
We struggled to break down the teams around us last season (couldn't even beat Blackpool ffs) so it makes a change to be performing well against them, 3-0 v Bristol, 4-0 v Bolton with a bonus 2-0 win versus Hull. We've got Fulham and Preston next both winnable games on current form although our recent away form is not as impressive. I just hope we can hold onto Andreu & Rawson for the second half of the season, their loans run out in January and we could do without any further disruption to the team.
Buxton was dropped from the squad something to do with a contractual issue, I've got no idea what that's about.
We lost to an injury time own goal ffs, players going off injured didn't help mind. We're going to need to make some new signings if we want avoid another poor run of form.
