Good luck lads! Curious to see how Japan performs in a major tournament under Aguirre, I doubt they will go full force the first game. And Palestine will make their debut at the Asian Cup, always interesting to see how that goes. Japan 3-0 Palestine.
Respect to Palestine for even making it this far. They're the ultimate underdogs. Do they even have a place to practice? All the sports facilities I saw when I visited that area were Israeli owned and operated. And you can be sure the Israeli government doesn't make anything easy for them, e.g. it's really hard for them to travel to play games. Tiny country too. They're punching way above their weight to be even on the same field with Japan. I'm sure they will play with a lot of pride and put up a fight.
Obviously. Back in Palestine, is what I meant. Not sure why the reference to Israeli owned and operated sports facilities did not make that clear for you.
Anyone have a link that's streaming the game from TeleAsa? The one I'm watching is from BS and Asian Cup is not the same without Matsuki.
Where are you watching ? There is a few good streams on Vaughlive. They're getting the job done anyways. Too bad Kagawa and Honda are once again mostly anonymous.
It is cool to play against weakest team of the tournament in the first match-day Anyway Japan performed well in the first half and congratulation for this victory.
I hope Iran anf Japan do not face each other in the quarter final. I prefer to avoid Japan for the quarter final match.
Uae has better GD than Iran now because of their unexpected 4-1 victory. If we do not come to the top of the group by the end of second round we must beat Uae in order to win the group. We can do that and we must do it. Other scenario: If Iran finishes second, that does not mean I will be hopeless for beating Japan. When Iran held Argentina to a goalless draw before the extra time of second half, it means that Iran can beat any team in Asia even Japan. Anyway winning the group must be our priority now
That was pretty professional all things considered. The job is done but there's still a lot of questions marks. The tactics doesn't get the best of Honda and Kagawa, who was finally influential when he played closer to the goal towards the end of the game. Left to be seen how Sakai is going to react against better opposition, his abilities are obvious but the way he plays is so dumb. I'm also worried Toyoda the telephone pole is Aguirre's first option out of the bench. Inui wasn't reliable as expected but Kiyotake wasn't much better.
