    https://www.sny.tv/mets/news/lagares-played-seven-innings-in-first-rehab-game/186888512

In what was the first game of his rehab assignment, Juan Lagares played seven innings in center field and went 1-for-4 with a strikeout and a run scored on Tuesday for Double-A Binghamton.
Lagares has been on the disabled list with a sprained left thumb since June 16.
Sandy Alderson and Terry Collins have both said Lagares may eventually need surgery, but the hope is that he can wait until the offseason.

Update: Nimmo is out of the Jay Bruce deal. Instead, the Mets have traded Dilson Herrera...

I'm glad they kept Nimmo. He looks like a star in the making.

The Mets are the hottest team in the National League and Tebow gets all the headlines.
    Incredible. :p

19 of our last 22 games are against teams with losing records and 9 of those are against the 2 worst teams in the majors. Things are really looking up right now

Crazy how this team is still in the WC lead even with all the injuries.

prefer to draw on my better angels and thank the Mets for giving it all they had and making it to the postseason against all odds. They finished the season with pride and accomplishment. And while we didn’t win the brass ring, we ended the season with an MLB-best 27-13 run which won’t be soon forgotten

If all their pitchers can get healthy next year they will be the favorites.
Making it to the playoff game with all the injuries in itself was quite an accomplishment.

One of the mods should re-title this ongoing thread. Anyway, here are the recent moves...

-Mets picked up the options on Jay Bruce and Jose Reyes.
-Mets gave Jonathan Niese a $500,000 buyout.
-Free agents as of Tuesday: Jerry Blevins, Bartolo Colon, Alejandro De Aza, Kelly Johnson, James Loney, Fernando Salas, Neil Walker.
