Btw, the first matchdays of the second round will be played within 10 days. We will be tough for the teams that have to play all three games. Game 1 : 02.06.12 Game 2 : 08.06.12 Game 3 : 12.06.12
Not so interesting, when you consider that rounds 1 and 2 exist to cull the likes of Nepal and Macau.
I usually just call it the "final round" and this one the "semi-final round" just for clarity sake...
The dates for the other round 4 and round 5/6 (playoff) matches: Round 4: June 3, June 8, June 12, September 11, October 16, November 14, 2012, March 26, June 4, June 11, June 18, 2013 Round 5: September 6 and September 10, 2013 Round 6 (inter-continental playoff): October 15 and November 19, 2013 Source: http://www.the-afc.com/en/component/content/article/33977-43-in-the-fray-for-2014-fwc-qualifiers

I haven't seen a draw format yet but we've organised a friendly for June 2nd. Maybe the top seeds get a bye on the first matchday and we're confident we won't drop below 2nd in FIFA rankings before the draw.
Bold part is spon on, that's the scheme AFC's using for a group of five teams. 1st match day: 3 v 2, 5 v 4 2nd match day: 4 v 1; 5 v 3 3rd match day: 1 v 5; 2 v 4 4th match day: 2 v 5; 3 v 1 5th match day: 4 v 3; 1 v 2 Australia is currently one of the top seeds, so you guys won't have to play at MD 1 if you keep your current position.
Thanks or that. I don't think there are enough games for us to drop to 3rd in AFC before the draw, even if the Saudis beat us in February.
Lol at these Australians completely ignoring the possibility of Korea pounding Kuwait with a 5398 - 0 scoreline and overtaking Australia's first seed. So cocky.. I'm in disbelief.
Well I'm not certain, but I'm fairly sure that Japan is having the schedule in their group as the no.5 team. This is so that their bye round coincides with when they represent Asia at the Confederations Cup (they won't play on June 18, Confed Cup is from June 15-30). So out of Korea and Iran whoever is in Japan's group will get the same fixtures as the no.1 seed.
