It's on Soccerway: http://development.soccerway.com/ma...irgin-islands/british-virgin-islands/1107727/ And CONCACAF: http://concacaf.globalsportsmedia.c...s&page=tournament&view=match&match_id=1107727 http://www.concacaf.com/page/WCQ/Schedule/0,,12813,00.html
Great game for my USVI team!!! I wish I could have gone but it was on another island. Talked to my few friends on the team and they said they were the better team and should take the BVI's in the next game as well.
Congratulations on your victory. This is a good performance if the team passes a turn. You can meet many of the biggest teams in the next round, and gain experience.
Thanks, it will be a tense affair in the next game. It would be awesome for them to make the next round and maybe go up against a team like Canada or something.
Big ups! First FIFA win ever!!! I know it's only the BVI, but they kept a clean sheet. Another first! The Fed finally has decent leadership and they are actually organized. They have a good mix of guys who are playing for unis in the States and older guys who play in the VI. Maybe when they finish the pitch Yohannes is building @ UVI it will be the "national" stadium and you won't have to travel to STT to see the team.

Aruba 4-2 St. Lucia - final ARU - Erik Santos de Gouveia - 13' SL - Kevin Edward - 19' ARU - Maurice Escalona - 46' SL - Kurt Frederick - 46' ARU - Frederick Gomez - 74' SL - Red Card (2nd yellow)- Bernard Edward - 83' ARU - David Abdul - 84' St. Lucia's the traditonal and ranking favorite, but Aruba's brought in one very nice ringer. David Abdul, 21-year-old forward from Sparta Rotterdam, is getting his first cap for Aruba tonight. Six cards against St. Lucia, five in the second half.
Aruba just won 4-2, their first victory in over decade (coincidentally that was also a 4-2 win, over Puerto Rico in Aruba in 2000) unless you count when they drew with Bonaire last year and they won by default when Bonaire walked off.
Of the small Caribbean islands, has anyone declined more than St. Lucia? That was a decent team in the late 90's/early 00's.
http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/preliminaries/nccamerica/matches/index.html says Bahamas hosts Turks and Caicos Islands today but http://livescore.com/soccer/concacaf/ says the game is in two days and http://www.flashscore.com/ doesn't have the game listed either day.
Been searching and searching and can't find it. I was wondering if the next stage of CONCACAF Qualifying where the teams are drawn into 6 groups of 4, they say the games will be played in Sept and Oct 2011. Are they just gonna play 3 games? or they gonna fit 6 in that?
I found that it is anticipated that the matches are anticipated to be played between September 2 and November 15. That's about 11 weeks. A pretty short window for 6 games. But looking at FIFA's International Calender September 2-6, October 7-11 and November 11-15 are all set aside for International Match Days. So I would anticipate 6 group games in Round 2.
Bahamas vs. Turks and Caicos Islands is scoreless in first half stoppage time. Edit: Bahamas leads 5:0 in second half stoppage time. Although earlier FIFA said it was scoreless in first half stoppage time, FIFA just listed the goal scorers and minutes and there were goals in minutes 2, 17, 64, 73, and 86. Demont Mitchell scored first and Lesly St. Fleur scored four goals after that. FIFA doesn't even know the Turks and Caicos Islands players or either team's bench. Edit again: Flashscore has different minutes than FIFA for three of the goals. Flashscore says the goals were in minutes 27, 38, 64, 73, and 83. Lesly St. Fleur scored his fifth goal and it ended 6:0. Turks and Caicos Islands is the first CONCACAF country eliminated.
*Actually it was Kurt Frederick who scored first in the 46th minute. Right after kick-off Maurice Escalona the (oh soooo important) equalizer.
USVI and BVI clash today... Do you have any predictions? I read an article about USVI and their program looks promising: http://virginislandsdailynews.com/usvi-s-soccer-team-preps-for-bvi-series-1.1166382#axzz1Qn5I14vg Do you have any info about BVI?
GO USVI!!!! I want them to set the tone early and hopefully gather an early goal. Just 1 goal means the BVI's will need to counter with 4 which will be too much.
They're still using the team that performed so poorly at last year's DCC...maybe they're still having trouble with the more experienced players' passports.
At least the BVI seems to have relegated a few of those from that 17-0 thrashing to the bench, but I still see several starters.
