Yeah? What goes around comes around? Seems like every time we play you guys you grass roll like no other. Worse than the Arabs.

Later on in the very same game, Rahmati shows how much class he is...

Just another more recent example of how much class the Iranian NT has...

This is why I hate the playing the grassrolling Middle East nations. If Rahmati was seriously hurt, he should have taken himself off the pitch or asked his manager to remove himself from the game. Seeing as neither happened, we have assume that Rahmati is making his "injury" much more than it was. And as I am a student in medical school, I can surely tell you that the vast majority of contact "injuries" the Iranians sustained were bruises at worst.

And in the mean time, to all the Iranian trolls out there, I kindly ask that you to

My take on it.. they just didn't care as much as the Iranians. You could tell. Players like Lee geun ho worked their asses off cause they want that starter spot. Our other players were not that intense when it came to tracking back etc... they scored a goal and then we had a bit more energy until the grass rolling happened. i felt like they were demoralized by it. Powerless...

AFC needs to start taking stricter measures on wasting time. This is the only thing that will fix what happens in the gulf.

the time wasting was pathetic. and it didnt help that the ref totally didnt do anything. the keeper should have gotten a yellow. these kind of antics are a danger to players who get real injuries while playing. but sure iranian fans be proud of your diving, play acting, grass rolling, inhospitable team.

So there it is, Korea lost a game and now the coach needs to be sacked.
    Goodness me ...

Korea is still toping the group.

I'm pretty confident that Korea can bring home a win against Qatar and Lebanon next summer.
Otherwise they don't even deserve to be at the WC.

You learn how to win through defeat, lets hope the boys get the job done in a few months.

Meanwhile, Japan was brought back to earth by Brazil.

Intense game, my heart was in my throat for 90 mins.

I have nothing to say that has not already been said, except two things:

    1) time wasting: Yes it happened, yes its ugly/unfortunate. BUT..... when Iran suffered from such antics from both Qatar and Lebanon....the main response here was that if Iran was good enough, time wasting should not have been a problem. So the same thing also applies now.

    2) Ki Sung Yong (sp?) is stellar. I like his style. I was especially petrified when he got behind a dead-ball, because he strikes the ball very well.

This video from 3:05 shows the Koreans' 4-star hotel in Tehran, their police escort from the hotel to the stadium, their lockers rooms etc. I said it before, I say it again, your coach appears to have been looking for excuses all along. His comments in the post-match conference blaming the weather, and claiming that Iran had "only one shot on goal" which is blatantly false, tells me that he is not an honest man, and is looking for a way to blame his shortcomings on others. He's like our own Ali Daei.

its not that often they beat us.

Let them have their moment. They are barely scrapping by the group stages. A long way till the end of the qualifications.

i keep seeing threats by south korea. last time south korea tried so badly to eliminate us to help their northern brothers qualify. although you succeeded (well really it was our own shortcomings during the entire campaign that led to that), you did it via a draw (thanks to a last grasp park ji sung equalizer) at home. hardly convincing. i for one am not afraid of how 'motivated' south korea will be in the return leg. plus... the last time one of us won in seoul it was Iran (even though it was a friendly).

while he may understate it the facts still remains iran was hardly a threat for 89mins of the match. sometimes the ball doesnt bounce your way but dont kid yourself- you can count the number of iran chances on 1 hand. you probably had more play acting than scoring chances.

in all likelihood we can guarantee we will have 6-9 points before we meet again. and while you might not be convinced you must be naive if you think we tried especially hard vs you guys in a game which didnt matter to us one bit. your best bet is for us to secure it before you come if you want to have a chance. our record of qualification matches at home the past 2 cycles is 7-4-0 with a GD of +20

why do you have to be like this dude? anybody who watched the games or the highlights would know that both teams hardly created any serious threats. maybe 1-2 for each team and most of them came off set plays anyway. it was overall an even match and we happened to win. i dont get why you have to make such a big deal?

so south korea did not try... um ok. why can you not accept defeat like some other koreans here?
