    My preferred starting XI:

    ..............................PCY

    .................KBK -- LKH --LCY

    ......................PJW -- KSY

    ...........YSY -- KYK -- KTH -- OBS

    .............................JSR

    In all likelihood however CKH will probably opt to start with KJW. He's played with some of the U-23 squad before during 2010 Guangzhou.

    SHM and Wookie to come off the bench.

    Kim Ki Hee to come on in the 92nd minute for shits and giggles.

    I still predict a draw.

    iran always played tough against us. forget their current lack of form. somehow, we just bring out the best out of them. a hard fought tough game with lots of heated flair here and there ending in 1-1 draw.

    i predicted 1-1 draw but if i were to choose the team that is most likely to win, i would pick our team. i hardly paid any attention to iranian national team, but do they have a good enough team to keep up with our pressure, speed and technique ? i doubt it. iran is in serious trouble if they come up as a loser of this game. queiroz is probably fighting for his job here, and will likely be fired if iran loses.

    The president of the Iranian FA made it clear that CQ won't get fired even if Iran loses tomorrow.

    their hopes is that Nekounam and Karimi can turn the clock back 10 years and their savior Dejagah who hasnt played a competitive match since August. they played shit but fluked a win vs the Uzbeks, dominated Qatar but couldnt score, lost to lebanon. they really only deserve to have maybe 3 or 1 point. i expect our midfield to dominate theirs and their only decent chances to come on set pieces. Iran will be tough defensively but i expect us to crack them as they have yet to face a team that can score like us in who knows when.

    referee is Malik Abdul Bashir from Singapore he also reffed the Japan 1-0 Iraq, Korea 6-0 Lebanon, Qatar 3-2 Indonesia, Bahrain 1-1 Iran matches and appears to be quality.

    weather shouldnt be too bad just slightly chilly maybe 60 F/ 16 C

    I just realized Iran has only scored one goal in this round.

    The only way I see Iran being tough defensively is if they score an early goal or the go-ahead goal and bunker for the rest of the game. They need this win way more than we do. If they lose this game they are pretty fcuked.

    Malik Abdul Bashir also refereed the game where we ran out 2-0 winners in Riyadh 4 years ago. He sent off Hazazi for diving in what I thought was a very generous call in our favour.

    Also Ghoochanijad from the Belgium 2nd division who hasn't played with the team previously and Shojai who only played 2 games in the past 2 years.

    WCQ away games always difficult regardless of the opponent.

    A draw would be a good result for us. Disaster for Iran.

    Has there been any reports on why we had no friendlies before the Uzbek/Iran matches?

    -------------SHM---------
    -------PJY----------------
    LKH------------------LCY
    -------KSY----KJW-------
    Backline with YSY starting.

    KSW to come on in second half, because SHM is currently on form and KSW gets tired really quick imo. KSW would be devastating to the Iranian defence esp when they're getting tired in the second half.

    KSW -> SHM
    KBK -> LKH

    Prediction: 2-0 us.
