This game is almost going to be an insult to Costa Rica.

    They deserve a better opponent.

Lets hope Robben isnt going to do his mad diving skills again

Costa Rica had a significant drop in quality in R16 and were lucky to play only the totally inept Greeks. The question here is whether or not CR can find their form from the first two games again, otherwise it will get ugly for them

It will be hot and humid once more. Holland will win by the ref once more. Robben will dive lots more.

Seek medical help. It has been a week, your vaginal bleeding should have subsided by now.

Heart says Costa Rica to avenge El Tri

Brain says Netherlands. I want to like them but the final in 2010 and the diving show is just a turn off.

The 2010 final turned a lot of us Dutch off too.

Costa Rica is lucky that they get six days of rest. After that exhausting match against Greece, they need it.

Below is my quote in the Holland-Mexico thread, days before kick off:

    Seek reality.

The Greeks deserve a lot more credit than they are getting. Certainly not fair to Holebas and others like him, who really put it all out there. I was impressed by Holebas specifically at the end. He really turned the motor on and tried to create chances out wide. It was the likes of Mitroglou that made me roll my eyes.

Anyway, Netherlands... and big. As much as Mexicans would love to disagree, the Dutch are the better team. None of us here like diving, but deal with the reality of the game. If people are going to turn Maradona's handball into some fantastic moment, or Suarez's handball against Ghana as heroic, people need to get over events like what happened with Marquez. I would disparage the poor challenge in the box much more than Robben's shameless display.

The Dutch broke Chile down in regular time, which is more than Brazil can say. And while Spain was a shadow of their former selves, the individual talent was there. I think this Dutch team will continue to surprise.

Just the fact that the quarterfinal will feature Costa Rica is one of the most unexpected developments. I believe, however, that the clock will strike midnight for Costa Rica when the referee whistles the match against Holland over. While Costa Rica have shown to be much better than expected, Holland should prevail by perhaps 2 goals.

I root for Holland but I don't like seeing Robben dive.

Interestingly the Dutch had now twice a better result than Brazil as they beat Chile and Mexico while Brazil couldn't manage to win against either.

Absolutely true, better to lose with pride, than win in shame.
The Netherlands may have faired better than Brasil against Chile and Mexico, it does not meen anything.
Sad to see USA and Australia out, better luck next time, friends.

Netherlands should pass Costa Rica with ease, I think this is the end of Costa Rica adventure (which was great) in this World Cup.

I don't believe in easy games at this stage. Unless you work and stay disciplined 100% of the time
    any opponent can be lethal.

@WC2010: yeah it was a disgrace, but then again...
Who has a clean history or conscious to bring that up 4 yrs later, grow up kids.

@NED-MEX: I don't like diving or excessive faulting, but you might guess it...
We aren't playing in a kindergarten and you can hardly blame or single out Holland on both diving or faulting.
    Grow up.

Apparently people can not get past the pain yet, too bad but why keep posting the same over and over?
Watching the topics I wonder if those people manage to deal with set backs and problems in life at all.

Predictions made by people for this World Cup have been wrong from the very start.
For the love of God, stop underestimating. Any team has the capability to do great things.

    Good luck to both.

No worries, but a Team like Mexico, with their rich history of theatrics, really shouldn't be complaining over and over about one call. As I said, the Cup moves on.
