Australia will get stronger. Japan is Japan. China will have improved. Saudi Arabia might stage a comeback. Exciting times.

Qatar is a hopeless cause and China.. well, we'll see. Camacho might make it in the quest of not taking them to the next Asian Cup.

 

I'm not saying Qatar will improve as a squad. I'm saying Qatar will be desperate to qualify by all means possible for at least one WC before they host it in 2022. Whether that means massive naturalization or even more annoying tactics ... we shall see.

This is very true, I think we should also(based on your analysis) investigate the South Koreans for cheating. That defender that let the iranian player take the ball from him and go score seems like a cheater, and after all South Korea is the home of Samsung there must be relevance there.

Yes, 10-0 that was Bahrain beating Indonesia last round(exact number of goals they needed to go through instead of Qatar), I guess these ASEAN countries also have no class and honor and are scum of the earth too. I'm guessing the investigation to that match still did not bring up evidence of foul play right? Qatar's clout in the AFC is definitely diminishing, new president of the AFC is from Bahrain no wonder nothing came up with the investigation right?
you should also add Kuwait to the list(KSA, UAE, Qatar, Lebanon) its close enough all arabs all no honor and no class.

And from my own analysis, I think we should investigate Uzbekistan for not scoring enough goals to secure the straight qualification. They were missing goals left and right hitting posts all this, they could have scored 10 goals but they did not want to, my reason is they must of wanted to play the play-off because they knew it would be an arab team, and them along with the koreans and iranis all conspired because they thought uzbekistan would be the only team able to beat the opposing arab team, this way no arabs in the next world cup. All cheaters and should be investigated!

Ok, enough sarcasm. But this is what you guys sound like to me, when I read your analysis on why Qatar lost to Uzbekistan. First of all last two games Qatar played in Tashkent, both were the same goal difference (4-0), last time we needed a win to revive hopes of qualification to South Africa, and this time we didn't need anything and both times we lost by a big margin 4-0 and 5-1.

Congrats to both teams who directly qualified. and good luck to Uzbekistan!

 

Now that I think about it, Im kinda happy all the remarks/media attacks by the coaches were made. It brought some life back into the rivalry. Im sure our next meeting is going to be heated and entertaining! Saudi Arabia is our regional arch rival, however Korea has always been a historic football rival for Iran, and a team that we've always respected.
