    Hi Dax,

You seems very sure about it :) ?

I think Anything can happen in this match up. S Pulse looks solid in the Cup games. They won the Semi Finale without their star forward Novakovic.

Novakovic looks on fire in the NT last games… in the two games He scored 3 goals in this NT games week.

Its gonna be an interesting match up aspecialy for forwards of the both team. :)

fair play, injury free, good game hope to see as a neutral fan.

    Regards,

It seems that 1st. stage winner of JFL will for 2015 get the only seeded JFL spot in the emperors cup while J3 clubs are still gonna play through prefectural cups before they can enter Emperors Cup.

This sounds stupid. I understand the reasons, but it's still stupid.

I do agree, so theres more to win 1st stage than 2nd stage..... well they did something similar before too, but its still extremely stupid.

No, the reasons is just plain scheduling problems. Right now they have perfect numbers: 47 prefectures plus 1 JFL team make 48 teams for the first round, after which 24 survivors are joined by 40 J1 and J2 teams to form a 64-team bracket.

There are a few ways to accommodate additional 12 J3 teams for next year (plus Renofa, not counting J-22 team), but neither of them looks good to me.
    1. Proceed with the existing "full" bracket of 64 teams—this means only 12 must join from earlier rounds. It is possible if 48 non-league teams play two elimination rounds, but this looks unfair to them and will definitely damage the cup magic.
    2. Let only J1 teams to start from the second round. Then the first round should contain (64-18)*2=92 teams. If we subtract 22 J2 teams, 12 J3 teams, and 47 prefectural winners, we're still left with 11 spots to fill. You can't give EC spots to 11 top teams from JFL first round, this just looks stupid.
    3. If everyone starts from the first round, then 128 spots must be filled. 128-18-22-12-47=29—now this is too much for the JFL. Not working either.
This is why I say I understand the JFA's reasons: it's no easy way to fit in all teams from J1, J2, J3 and all sorts of amateur leagues into a bracket that has to be a power of 2. To add to the headache, J3 will definitely continue to grow, so the numbers will change every year, and the scheme should be flexible enough to accommodate this growth.

My guess is they will start to include J3 teams under the scheme #2 when the league grows with at least 5-6 more clubs, so then a more reasonable number of 3-4 remaining spots can be passed to top JFL teams and then gradually removed in favor of still growing J3.
