    Thanks.
Signed a 2 year contract with option for a third one.
Cordoba was just promoted from the second division through the playoffs, even if they were 7th!

    Best of luck to him

I saw the final play-off game against Las Palmas (Shojaei plays there) and Cordoba were down 0-1 for a long time. The supporters of Las Palmas assumed they had already won and therefore promoted to La Liga. So they ran into the field forcing the referee to stop the game. When they were held by the police the game was resumed and only one second after that Cordoba scores a last second goal - they were promoted on away goals rule.

The event soon bursted out in rioting and molesting stadium seats.

I was absolutely flabber gasted, and I felt sorry for the Las Palmas fans. Shows again in football nothing is certain until the final whistle!

You can watch the entire thing here:

omg lol... well I don't know if I would've felt sorry anyway, they should've just stayed there until the whistle really.

By the way, Cordoba's current coach was Vitesse's coach the season before Mike moved ! He did coach Yasuda.

Actually his ex teammates in Vitesse, Chanturia(Georgian player) was transferred to Hellas Verona in Serie A and certainly I think Mike will also go to Italian League. However, to play in La Liga is very nice indeed.

At last, Japanese player in La Liga after Ienaga isn't ? ..

better to a club in La Liga?
well... it's not like he was exactly one of the best Eredivisie scorers, was he now ?
I was expecting a low profile EPL side personally so in a sense I guess I wasn't totally off

Besides he should get plenty of play time...

Chanturia is a young prospect that Verona had blocked since months, I don't think it shares much with Mike...
yes, Ienaga was the last japanese in the first division

It's fantastic he found a first division club given how bad he is. Good luck to him.

    Good call by Maiku.
He'll have fun, in Liga you can score a lot. And anyway Cordoba is a solid club, even it they get relegated.

    Just for information:

This upcoming season Asian have three players from its region. Maiku (Cordoba CF), Teerasil & Kim (Almeria). Xu Xin(Atletico Madrid B) will likely to get chance in the first team but maybe in the end of the season.

There is a huge difference between EPL and La Liga, so actually I'd say you were way off.
Predicting that he'd go to a low profile club regardless of country is no prediction at all.

? But I did specifically say EPL, so I don't understand why you're saying "regardless of country".
As for the huge difference, I have no idea what it is. You mean low-table EPL clubs are stronger than La Liga's? It's possible, I guess.

Cordoba is in the EPL now?
    How interesting.

I mean the country's styles are very different. Didn't think that needed explaining, but you are the master at sticking words in people's mouths.

no I am not don't worry, nobody's going to steal your throne. Infact, I've never said Cordoba is in EPL, I just meant to indicate a possible type of team, as in, fighting to avoid relegation in a top league. EPL, it was pretty random.
So I was merely dismissing that it's "no prediction at all" with my country. It is definitely a prediction ;). Wether you think it was "far off" or not doesn't exactly concern me, lol

And as I pointed out, that's no prediction.
You may as well have predicted that there will be a Kouhaku on Dec31 this year.

If that were true you wouldn't have felt the need to be dishonest with words in my mouth.
Nor would you keep responding to it.

Hm? I just said that it doesn't concern me if you think that it's far off or not, infact I was just merely clarifying what I had posted earlier which you thought as me saying Cordoba was in EPL.
Btw, I think there will be a Kouhaku on Dec31 this year.

    And here we go again.
It's interesting how you can't deal with legitimate criticism in any facet.
It always turns into a game where you try to bs your way out by misrepresenting what the other person said.
And all because you can't let go of your ego.

no, scotch, nope. You should watch yourself in the mirror more often, and post more about football and less about people. Thanks.
