Klopp: "The best moment was the "Kagawa Shinji" chant during the warm-up. It wasn't that loud for a long time." #BVB— Sandra Goldschmidt (@SanBorussia) September 13, 2014 Wahnsinn! Die #BVB-Fans freuen sich, #Kagawa-Shinji schallt durchs Stadion. #bvbscf https://t.co/84jMmw8sdZ— Stefan Döring (@Doering_Stefan) September 13, 2014
The all through German press ussed word to describe his performance is "Gala". edit: just one example:
Good but not great performance. As long as he focus on his game and not let the hype get on his head he will do just fine.
Kehl said about Shinji (apart from praising his performance today) that Shinji wasn't "physically" used to the fast-paced football of Dortmund anymore and that he will need time to reach the fitness necessary to play like this for the full 90 minutes and everyone will support him even more as long as he hasn't reached that fitness level yet. How do they train at United?
LOL at "Zombie Passing"! Anyway I really wish bad luck for Manchester United for two reasons: 1- for mistreating Shinji. 2- because my room-mate during my college days used to play against me with ManU in PES, and he was usually defeating me in that game, since that my dislike of ManU began, and it increased after their mistreatment of Kagawa. So bad luck Manchester United!
I hope he will play even in UCL match against Arsenal so he will shine in a european stage. Just to show that he's not good now only cuz he's playing in Bundesliga vs Bundesliga teams (aka Bundesliga < EPL) but he's good cuz he's playing in a good team.
He will certainly play against Arsenal but I wouldn't expect too much from him and the team. Those injuries are really heavily affecting the team and the latest news suggest that Hummels won't make it either in time for Arsenal, which means that Dortmund is really missing ALL of their key players (I won't count Kagawa just yet as one, but I'm sure he will quickly become a key player too) in that game. Gündogan, Hummels, Reus, Sahin are the heart of BVB. What we saw today was an average game by BVB standards, which is enough to beat a team like Freiburg but will cause problems against Elite teams. A lot will depend on Kagawa and Mkhitaryan on Tuesday, but I'm afraid that Arsenal will quickly realize that and try to shut both players down. Arsenal, I think, is coming too early unfortunately. The team will look better in 1-2 months.
#justsayin Shinji Kagawa was involved in 40 goals in 70 #BVB games. Dortmund have not lost any of the last 26 Bundesliga matches with him on the pitch.— Sandra Goldschmidt (@SanBorussia) September 13, 2014
One notable comment by Klopp after the match on what can be still improved (paraphrasing, as I haven't found it as text anywhere): "We need to get familiar with his movements and actions." So it's already at the point again that Klopp may prefer to adapt the system/other players to Kagawa instead demanding that he adapts to them (obviously creativity wise, fitness wise it's clear Kagawa has to catch up). You can find such info in Bundesliga.de's Liveticker. Kagawa ran 8.35km, did 14 sprints, 52 intensive runs, 2 shots, 5 duels won, 4 lost, 41 touches, 32 passes, 25 to the man, 7 lost. Normalized to 90 min the one stat he excelled in was intensive runs, the rest was "average". But stats can't cover the intelligence behind these numbers.
Ferguson regrets the way Kagawa was handled at ManU, according to Klopp. http://www.espnfc.us/borussia-dortm...und-may-consider-premier-league-job-in-future
I predict a Kagawesque experience for Klopp if he will coach in the EPL. Better for him to move everywhere apart there. Can you imagine him trying to explain his football to players like Young and Valencia?
Kagawa still feels "something" after his cramp, he could only Train individually and they'll test tomorrow whether he's fit to play according to Klopp.
yeah just read that it's unlikely he'll be involved... :/ hope he recovers otherwise, time to watch Kakitani I guess
I hope he will play. This is the main tie of the group and he will play against an EPL team, one far better then ManUtd, in a UCL match. He can't miss it. But it's obvious that Klopp can't risk another injured player...
