'90 for Minamino yesterday in EL. Good since their EL matches are harder than their league ones

Minamino came on as a sub vs. Schalke in the EL. Was positive and lively and helped his team get back into the game.

He is that old? Didn't realise that he aged so much overnight.

Still at FC Liefering? Same case with Usami or Kakitani? It's frustrating to see Japanese with a legit talent being let down by their unability to adapt to European game for tactical reasons. Japan youth coaching system need to be overhauled.

I've seen Okugawa play a lot in Liefering, and I can 100% assure you that the problem is not tactical, or at least that's certainly not the main reason...

Just watch majority of the asian players going to Europe. Not many fullfill the promises and hopes themselves and others had.

    It's that he's weak.
A combination of the fact that he seems unable to adjust to the timing of the match* and the fact that mentally he seems unable to handle the pressure and do freely what he used to do. He was a good player technically and yet I've seen him unable to trap a ball properly, displaced passes... he's lacking in sense of timing.

Don't get me wrong, he may also be having troubles tactically but it's not the main thing.
Add the fact that he's not scoring, and that's also because he's not even shooting... that's literally the thing he needs to do if he wants to have a chance to play for Salzburg. He never feints before shooting anymore too.

*obviously, it's not a problem of pace per se because this isn't high level. But he is still lacking the intensity to be constantly involved in the actions. He loses most aerial battles because he seems to barely be jumping. He just feels overwhelmed by it. You know Okazaki? This is his opposite.

I've made a quick compilation for you from the last match (with an extra lol at the end from the match vs Horn), take a look if you want. Of course, it's not like he doesn't land a pass anymore, I'm picking a few actions to illustrate the point. Apart from the goal he didn't have a single other shot in the last game btw.

Havent scored in a while. Hwang has taken his spot. Came on and played about 15 minutes today. They lost again. Losing many points now.

Thats true. But I believe Hwang is on the reasons he is not playing so much. Could be used in the same position. Hwang has been in good form also.

A brace for Minamino today, who made his second start of the season. He's now the team's joint top scorer in the league with six goals, having only started two games this season.
