Would be interested to see if Kagawa will keep his place down as Reus and Schurrle (to a lesser extent) returns from injury this week.
Schürrle has been mostly terrible this season, and plays wing and CF. Reus plays on the left wing. Kagawa will play aside from rotation as long as he maintains anything close to his form from the past 6 weeks or so.
Didn't realize this was his first goal of the season, it's a bit sad but happy for this nice performance.
lol, what a stupid question. Of course he will be first choice when he's in recent form. He's still superb but couldn't start the season the same way in tha last years. If he's going to leave Dortmund this summer he will be surely a hot stuff on the market.
Obviously I'm going to have to dumb it down for you to understand. Tuchel has been using 3-4-3/3-4-2-1 often this season, and with the return of Reus, Kagawa is obviously going to have his starting chances reduced, especially since Dembele is in a great form as well.
To dumb it down for you - he will start against Bayern and against Monaco. Period. There's nothing to think about.
tbf I wouldn't put it beyond Tuchel to needlessly tinker with the formation again...but Kagawa's looming contractual situation could play a role in his tactical decisions.
Says a person who can't even address what I said? Sure, whatever. If you don't like the discussion, you don't need to contribute. Has been like that throughout the season, and nothing to suggest otherwise, and with 3 at the back, Kagawa's place in the team is not necessarily a given imo. Reckon that could fire either way: Tuchel using him more to convince him to stay, or not if he intends to weed out older players as he incorporates younger players into the team.
If anything I think there's a good chance Kagawa sits either the Bayern or Monaco match, but more because of fixture congestion than anything else. He's been playing 90 minutes nonstop with an international break sandwiched in between, and the club has a brutal run of "Englische Wochen" ahead of them.
Kagawa has often started crucial Champions League games on the bench but we'll see. He'll certainly start the next match but it's hard to be sure of anything beyond given how stacked are Dortmund at his position. He's too hot and cold for us to have any certainty. Let's just hope he stays hot ... Between the NT and that, maybe we're witnessing some sort of come back.
Everyone is dumbing down then: 1. It's a bit sad for HIM to score only 1 in the season till now 2. I'm happy cuz he's starting a lot of games. Understood? ;D
Kagawa did not travel to Munich due to muscle problems sustained from his busy schedule over the past month.
