lol. do you visit the forum just to post when Kakitani doesn't play nowadays? Funny how you were absent when he scored in the opening day.

He wasn't good enough the other day, I was at the stadium.
I wish he could play as second striker and not as a winger, but it's not going to happen in Basel. He has to adapt.
The season has just begun. Basel will play in Europe in any case, and under this coach he will get chances there or in the league again.

The fact is that he didnt make the squad. Not the first team but the squad. And that for me is disappointing and problematic.

1-1, Basel are out of CL!

    Pretty incredible.

Kakitani, former Sanfrecce, should play against Fiorentina.
Both the team had violet/purple jersey and had friendlies in the past.

I was mistaking Tadanari Lee with Yoichiro Kakitani.
And no, Tadanari was too young for those friendlies.

    Tadanari was playing for Kashiwa.

Oh come on, Lee scored in the final against Australia and then cheers with the Sanfrecce bow pose.
Same gone in Championship (England 2nd division).

Yes, but before that he played for Kashiwa, and he rose to fame there and he was an FC Tokyo player before that but he never played for them.

I didn't deny he was a Sanfrecce player, I just intended to correct you that when he was "too young" he wasn't a Sanfrecce player, he went there after he turned 24.

damn! should've had a super assist around '48 minutes. Stops the ball with the heel, then makes a great pass, but the keeper made a super save on Delgado.

edit: daamnn beats two defenders but got stopped in the best moment. promising good match so far tho.

encouraging, he was one of the most dangerous for Basel in the 2nd half. Could've tried a feint + dribble @ 4.21

good match. Got out with a round of applause, had a great action just before being subbed after '76 but his shot was deflected

Looks like the new coach does not think too badly of him. Quite a few starts for him now.
