Lyon could be headed for an early exit this year after that second half collapse against Astra. I think the injuries are already taking their toll this season. I mean Kone and newbie Rose were always going to be put into danger, especially without a dedicated LB in this game. Tolliso is able play several positions but it looked like the first goal came from his side.

the first half was OK, but in the 2nd we were milling around their perimeter pretty aimlessly. inexperience led to hesitaion, but also a false feeling that a 2nd goal for was the only thing to worry about, and as we saw there was a lot worse!

So let's just forget this even happened. Lock the thread and throw away the key.

18 years in Europe in a row. Very tough to do in France.

very tough to do anywhere. and at one point we had a longer streak of getting out of CL group stage than any club in europe, even MU or real.

oh well. at least the kids gave it a good shot in the return leg, but it only compounds the regret about the 2nd half at gerland. 45 minutes of inattention and they chucked a tradition almost as old as they are out the window. i hope it's a damned good lesson to them.
