Santos Laguna has opened some cans of whoop ass on MLS teams for sure.

So what. It's not Rich Coast's fault they maintained a stable league while you guys couldn't.

Even if you believe the draw was fixed, Real Salt Lake beat Saprissa in the Semifinals that year, making MLS look better than the Costa Rican league.

Yes, and the same one were they topped the table against Cruz Azul, knocked out 2 other MLS teams (Toronto and Columbus), and beat Saprissa in the semi's to just barely lose in the final (3 - 2 on aggregate).

Nope... it's a good achievement, but it does not make Saprissa some juggernaut of a team compared to MLS teams... and this is what was implied in the post.

Correct, Uruguay has 2 world Cups (4 if you ask their fans), so that makes them a juggernaut over all Concacaf men’s teams.

Maybe not... but Saprrisa is not Real Madrid compared to the Galaxy. Lets take a look at Saprissa record against MLS teams.

    2014 - 2015
    1W - 1L - 0D

    2013 - 2014
    DNQ (Did not Qualify)

    2012 - 2013
    DNQ

    2011 - 2012
    DNQ

    2010 - 2011
    3W - 1L - 0D

    2009 - 2010
    DNQ

    2008 - 2009
    1W - 0L - 1D

    2007
    DNQ

    2006
    1W - 0L - 1D

    2005
    1W - 0L - 1D

    2004
    1W - 1L - 0D

    Total:
    8W - 3L - 3D
    5 DNQs

...these are not the stats of a Juggernaut of a team.

Edit: They met LA twice in the CCC. with 1W and 1D. They haven't met in the CCL.
