Since I'm in the Chicago area so interested in the Midwest. No team in Chicago, but new teams in down state IL (Fire and Ice Soccer Club), Des Moines, and Kansas City. I wonder if FC Indiana will end up here if there is not a WPSL Elite this year.

Are there substantive differences between the divisions? Which are the strong divisions and which are the weak or is it too soon to tell? Is it roster driven or something else?

It's all a matter of which teams can recruit the better players. Most divisions are only going to have one really good team - a "strong" one might have two or more. The South Atlantic Division, for example, is going to have ACF Torino USA - who won their division last year as the Maryland Capitols - along with the Chesapeake Charge, who were overmatched in WPSL-Elite but would have dominated had they played in the WPSL.

The best clue right now as to who will do well this year is to look at last year's standings ( http://www.wpsl.info/standings/indexa.php ) and figure that teams will do similarly this year. There are always some surprises, but not that many.

Thanks. The records were helpful. In the New England division we seem to have an historically strong team (Boston Aztec- former Boston Breakers Reserve team) and another one that played in WPSL elite last year (NE Mutiny). Some Mutiny players are leaving for more convenient teams now that they are no longer in an upper division (Morgan Andrews eg.) Breakers have started their own WPSL team with some very strong players (5 BC players including two keeps) and then there are entries from CT, NH and ME. Mutiny has only published a small portion of its roster (9) players, CT has published theirs and as of right now the roster strength seems to be with Aztec and/or Breakers although Beakers has that block of BC field players who could make a big difference.

The Jersey Blues FC organization is delighted to announce its return to the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) for the 2014 season following their hugely impressive season in US Club Soccer's National Adult Leagues in 2013.

Last season, the Blues went an impressive 7-0-1 in regular season play and capped this performance off with a dominant 3-0 victory over New Jersey Wildcats in the play-off final. With the bulk of the 2013 roster planning to return ahead of the campaign, Head Coach Dean Selvey is confident of an excellent WPSL season.

"I am excited to be leading the team back to the WPSL," said Selvey, who also previously coached the Millburn Magic of the WPSL before joining the Blues last year. "The team were fantastic in the NAL last season and I'm looking forward to challenging our players to reproduce that form in this highly-competitive league."

The Blues will be holding a final Spring tryout, with details to be released in the very near future, though players are invited to contact Head Coach Dean Selvey at DSelvey@JerseyBluesFC.com if they are interested in playing in 2014.
