Well they took the foot off gas and just play it save now. They could lead easily by 6 or 7goals now considering all high class chances and post hits what do you want more lol

Without Ribery Bayern loss urgency. They're happy with the 3-0 it seems.

And the crossbar becomes Guangzhou's MOTM.

    And it ends 3:0 Bayern.

Looking at the stats I'm sure Guangzhou can live with this result.

Bayern await CAM or Raja in the final.

Guangzhou played quite well until they got tired. Defense is sort of iffy, the defenders want to get out of the back always playing. If the 3rd place game is versus Raja, it's going to be a close match. I'd give the Chinese club the edge.

Fair result from Evergrande considering they were playing against one of the, if not the, best team in the world. Looking forward to the third-place match!

Thank god that's over, haven't been this bored watching a match in quite some time. Evergrande were completely out of their depth and Bayern had zero interest after the 3-0. Didn't expect such an easy game for them.

Yes, Pizarro rarely plays nowadays, he's 36 I believe, he was supposed to end his Bayern career in the summer but then the Lewandowski transfer didn't work out and Bayern persuaded him to be available for another year.

Hopefully the final will be a more open match with both teams trying to go forward.

Can't believe Bayern still bought Thiago tbh, because Pep loves him for some reason.

He's good, unfortunately he had a few injuries that largely kept him out of the squad until recently. As Schweinsteiger is injured we're glad we have Thiago right now

Yeah his a good attacking player, but because Guangzhou hardly ever pressured the Bayern defense he played good. Against teams that are much stronger ( e.g Man City) he was bad in the CDM role by himself and Bayern looked vulnerable.

I still believe the Schweinsteiger/Martinez combo from last season was the best way, Bayern were absolutely solid that way and allowed the other teams nothing. Pep doesn't like that combo though and much rather only plays with one 6. Since Schweinsteiger is out injured until 2014 and Martinez is unfit this particular position is a big weakness right now for Bayern. But hey, one more match until the winter break , we should see the team back at full strength again after.

Yeah i totally agree with you. We were really solid in defence because of Scweinsteiger/Martinez as the double pivots. Martinez was well worth his €40 million price tag (Bilbao don't sell cheap for their Basque players).

Well to be positive, Bayern this year have had way more possession than last season (Guardiola's philosophy). That kick in the guts was good timing for Bayern, as we were too complacent after going 2-0 up against City. Also Hope to see Holger Badstuber back sooner rather than later, as he was one of our best defender's.

There are only three teams who have scored against European champions in the SF.....

2008 Gamba Osaka - 3 goals against Manchester United
    2009 Atlante - 1 goal against Barcelona
    2012 Monterrey - 1 goal against Chelsea
