With the way they have been playing and their stupid player decisions, I doubt monterrey will do much in this tourney. nevertheless, the playing field has been completed as Marcelo Lippi's Chinese squad Guangzhou Evergrande beat a Korean team on away goals (lame that they have away goals in the final), and Al Ahly have won the african title for the eighth time. so the tables are as follows Raja Casablanca (winner of host national league) vs Auckland City winner plays Monterrey, who then goes on to play Mineiro and Guangzhou vs Al Ahly, winner goes on to play Bayern The good news is Monterrey wouldn't have to play bayern until the final, the bad news is they look really, really bad this season
Monterrey has a great team but they way they've been playing they won't make it to the final. They'll go out vs Mineiro which is a shame cause they seem like a beatable team based the CL games I saw. Haven't seem them since so don't know what they're like now.
they should never have let go of reyna or aldo. or oswaldo martinez for that matter... zavala isn't good enough to control that midfield.
