No, he has been captain for a short time but it's not the captain right now, though he's definitely a key player of the team considering the number of played matches

I assume he's fluent in Romanian by now? You can probably fit all Japanese who speak Romanian into a small room...

    Seto: 人生の決断として本当にいい決断をした。他人になんと言われても自分の意思を曲げない。だからこのチャンスが来たと思う。

    Good luck!!!!!!!

pretty sure he's referring to the JNT staff watching him on the stands ;). Which also happened because he refused that, yes.

tentative: The life decision I made was a really good decision. (I'm not sure how として connects the sentence). What the others said did not bend my will. So I think the chance has come.

It was very probably referred to what I wrote after that.

He refused a transfer to Qatar to impress JNT scouts or something?

lol no. He refused an offer from Qatar because he didn't care about going to play in that kind of league even if the money offered were much. As he said in an other interview, he is still trying to do his thing in Europe. Of course should have he gone there nobody would go to see him. He had a fine start of the season with Astra so they went.
He didn't even know someone was going to scout him for the first time (before the offer came, I mean).
Too bad Saku jinxed him because he wasn't very good yesterday =p it wasn't much about what he did on the pitch which was fine, more from a physical standpoint he looked fatigued.

As a life decision this was a truly good decision. Others will say what they want but my will won't change. That's why this chance has come I think.

Also, he had a good action when dribbled two opponents and shot from distance over the crossbar...not so much over the crossbar...about 1.5-2 metres...this action isn't in this video.

yeah I remember that. Indeed, the match was pretty shitty in itself, with the opponents doing very few to keep him busy :/
