2nd missed WC for Uchida. Unlucky guy.
However Hosogai should take lesson from Tulio "the arm breaker" Tanaka on how to be a dreadful "Stopper".

And Hasebe around 15/05 in the worse case (according to FC Nurnberg).

Hasebe will be in 23-squad for Brazil. Only a disaster could keep the captain out.

I was talking about a scenario with Ucchi and the Captain out for injuries.

Bild said Hasebe has big chances of leaving if Nurnberg gets relegated.

It's about the contract of a couple of players which are not applicable for 2nd division.
Hasebe is their "top-earner" according to Bild and Nürnberg wouldn't be able to afford him with the turnover lower in the 2nd div.

I don't reckon he'd have a hard time getting a team in Germany. He's proven at Bundesliga level, Bundesliga title winner with Wolfsburg, and a national team captain. Not to mention he speaks some okay German.

Man, you see way too much malice and negativity in peoples comments.
He was just innocently asking "Who would want him?".
Stop overreacting to every 'seemingly' negative comment.

no nakata, he is not trolling. He was just asking what team would get him.
The yellow card was a red and it had nothing to do with his posts but his proxy, it was a mistake from another mod and it was solved. Relax

This is probably Hasebe's last world cup.

Lets hope his experience pays off at WC2014

Well, just sayin'... you'll know probably that this is gonna be the last World Cup for him. For how he's playing now, I don't see him getting a call at 34 years old in Russia 2018.

How/why should he not stay? If anything I'd be dissapointed if he said he'll go in any case.

He can go back to Urawa Reds and Inui can go back to Cerezo.

i worry about his performances in national team if he plays in second division
even if the examples of Endo and Konno show that it's possible to stay competitive

I see. But "inbetween" NT matches there's a club the player belongs to, and if he isn't able to establish himself there, he has no future in the NT anyway. Imo, out of all realistic scenarios staying in 2nd div Nürnberg and being an important player there isn't bad for his NT career. Imagine his motivation for next season, it's a coach's dream to have a player like that in his squad.

Now, switching clubs because they went down during his absence, is typically mercenary-style. I wouldn't want to have such player in my team unless he can win matches alone, and we all know Hasebe isn't that type of character nor player.

Also, Keren you're worrying about the next world cup mostly, but take in mind that it would mean 4 years in Nuremberg: we don't know if it'll happen, nor if they'll still be in the 2nd div. by then.
What if Nuremberg wins 2.Bundesliga next year? He's still the same Hasebe even if he plays in the 2nd div. (which btw, isn't like playing in J2, and we always call up players from J1, so...)

No, I don't look so far. In 2018, he will be 34, I hope we'll have found a decent successor by then.
I rather thought about the next Asian Cup.
And also eventually the debut of WCQ (the 3rd round in Asia) if Nurnberg fails to going back in Bundesliga, but I admit that if Japan needs Hasebe to pass the this group stage, it would be sad for us.

However my misgivings don't prevent me to agree with sc-f when he says :

For sure, if Hasebe stays in the club which saved him from a bench-season just before WC, it would show his gratitude.

I am cool with him staying in Nurnberg if he so wishes even if they go to 2nd divison.

    For me its

JNT = first (aka this WC and next ones etc...)

So if he stays in Nurnberg but somewhat other candidates for JNT come up to take his place after this WC so be it. It wont effect this WC performance so quite frankly anything that makes him happy. Had this happened on a season before WC I would not be
