A win and we'll be the 1st team qualified for 2014 WC. I think it could even be historical, because it could happen 1 year and few months before the actual tournament. Let's see.

Man, we can't play the CC with this team's mentality. Something is really wrong.

We'll never be, Brazil has already qualified :(

(of course I'm joking, but by the way Japan was among the first if not the first to get a ticket to South Africa as well, let's hope to continue the trend. :) )

Japan was among the first, with South Korea, Australia and Netherlands.

Japan was the first team outside the host nation to qualify for both the 2006 and 2010 tournaments. If they beat Jordan they'll also be the first to qualify for 2014.

I think Japan should be able to get a win against Jordan, but I expect a narrow win like 1-0 or 2-1.

    Good luck anyways :)

I will speculate on the line up:

    Kawashima

Uchida - Yoshida - Konno - Gotoku Sakai
    Hasebe - Endo
    Okazaki - Kagawa - Inui
    Havenaar
As much as it hurts me I think we shall see Havenaar up front and some UFOs in the penalty area for him to get in the net with his head :ninja:

I hope to see the Cerezo Trio in Attacking Midfield. Inui-Kagawa-Kiyotake with Kagawa as CAM. in front can be either Maeda or Okazaki. Central Midfield - Endo (OCM) and Hasebe (DCM). Sakai-Konno-Yoshida-Uchida at the back.
    Kawashima between the post.
    LET'S DO IT!

GO JAPAN! GAMBARE, NIPPON! GAMBARE SAMURAI BLUE!

Okazaki is not a CF and manages to score more than whoever's CF on most days.

    Why put him up front?

We may very well not win tomorrow. I hope everybody here realizes that. And it shouldn't be huge deal.

The environment is going to be especially hostile on this particular visit. This always seems to be a troublesome thing for Japan.

This is a team that beat Australia at home with a pretty good performance. If Japan even a touch below their best they won't win.

woah woah Oman. Did not expect this (match isn't over yet). Congrats to Le Guen tough. He is doing the impossible with very low level players - their GK is fantastic though. I think he even put a couple of 20yrs old on the field today.

Watching this I wouldn't be surprised if Cahill comes to the rescue for the millionth time...

Expecting Jordan to be very tough game, they were brilliant against Australia and the atmosphere was pretty hostile.

I know, but Oman is an unexperienced team and they crapped in their pants after 2-0. They're good, but too unexperienced. So an Australian comeback was pretty normal. This draw is better for Australia than Oman: now the "Socceroos" have two home matches against Jordan and Iraq. If they don't screw up, they'll in Brazil. Anyway, the renovation-plan after AC2011 isn't going so well.

If Oman would have won, they could seriously have been a contender for 2nd place. Now i don't know. Iraq has bigger chances than Oman to qualify.

PRECIOUS COMUNICATION: with the draw between Australia and Oman, a draw will be enough to be the first team qualified in next WC.

.......you're saying all that, knowing full well Japan gave up a lead also in Australia.
I'd fancy Oman for 4 points in their last 2 games.
