and all those football lines and numbers were distracting while watching too... maybe in some small way that contributed. BTW, I can't believe that San Antonio averages 10k attendance per game... that's unreal. But playing on a football field is downright lame.
Its just for one season. They will have a real field next year. IF the Spurs had not got the politicians involved a good chance that the original stadium would of been built on time.
Yeah, I'm nowhere near being fond of gridiron lines in soccer, but for an expansion team that's working on getting a proper field it's not worth caring about.
If we don't make that better than number here in NY, I'm going to kick myself. (Sorry, forgot this is a Carolina section). The numbers are getting stronger and the only way is up!
Well, someone needs to let them know-- there ISN'T a 2013 thread. Board apathy drives away potentially interested supporters! What's that dark knight fellow's name? Someone should tell him. BTW, the Railhawks are now at the top of the table!
I wasn't singling you out- I think we need a new thread, but I don't want to get you yelled at either
It used to be 7600, then they expanded it to 10K, with a brief stop around 8K along the way that sold out when the LA Galaxy came to town.
I never saw it listed at 7600. The number of physical seats (or bench locations) was around 6800 until last summer's expansion. They did occasionally (2003 Women's College Cup, 2006 USMNT/Jamaica game come to mind) put temporary seats in the north end. They did, on a couple occasions, (Monterrey/RailHawks and DC United (Freddy Adu)/Rochester Rhinos) top 7k with SRO tickets.
