Apparently, Kim Namil, reportedly injured, is in Korea looking for a club to train with. Incheon, previously rumoured to be signing the midfielder come this winter, is not interested and neither is Suwon. Don't quote me on this though, I'm only passing a rumour.
If this is true, there can only be one reason for this... They can't afford him. It would be nice if Jeonbuk can win the ACL and swoop him just in time for the Club World Cup.
I think the player need to be registered in the K-League to play the Club World Cup. I know the official offseason starts before the CWC, but can you register the players right away? Also, isn't Kim Namil a minority share holder in Incheon United? It doesn't make any sense to me that Incheon is not signing him. Huh Jungmoo has been throwing around names like Lee Chunsoo and Kim Jungwoo as his target. Incheon must have money.
You might be right, but I think clubs are allowed to submit a completely new list of players for the CWC. I'm not entirely sure, though. I thought I saw one of the Saudi clubs (probably Al Ittihad) sign a Brazilian player just before the CWC a few years ago. I also think he'll end up joining Incheon if he does decide to play in Korea. Money really shouldn't be an issue for him at this stage of his career.

[인터뷰]지동원-남태희'레딩 절친'김원식이 돌아왔다 ◇프랑스리그에서의 시련을 뒤로 한 채 다시 K-리그 도전에 나선 스무살의 미드필더 김원식. 노랗게 물든 가을낙엽 위에 누워 해맑은 미소를 지어보였다.전준엽 기자 "지동원, 남태희와 레딩에 갔던 김원식은 뭐 하나요?" 축구 게시판에 종종 올라온 질문이다. 지동원(20·선덜랜드)과 남태희(20·발랑시엔)는 '조광래호'의 영건으로 맹활약 중이다. 유독 김원식(20)만 행방이 묘연했다. 축구게임 속에서 폭발하는 '포텐'(잠재력포텐셜(potential)을 뜻하는 축구게임 은어)으로 인기 높은 김원식의 소식이 축구판에선 도통 들려오질 않았다. 오죽하면 '월북설'까지 나돌았다. 유명 축구사이트의 어이없는 실수로 김원식의 이름 옆에 인공기가 붙었고, 북한대표팀 교체명단에까지 오르내린 탓이다. K-리그 출장길에서 우연히 한 선수를 마주쳤다. "진짜 축구 잘하게 생겼다"가 그의 첫 인상이었다. "레딩… 지동원…" 이야기에 "아!"하고 무릎을 쳤다. 오래 전 까까머리 '레딩 삼총사' 사진에서 본 바로 그 얼굴이었다. 지동원, 남태희 그리고 김·원·식! 잃어버린 퍼즐 한조각을 마침내 찾았다. ▶'프랑스리거' 김원식이 돌아왔다 김원식은 초등학교 3학년이던 2000년 축구화를 처음 신은 이후 줄곧 엘리트 코스를 밟았다. 수비형 미드필더로 자리잡은 동북중 시절, 탐라기 전국중학교축구대회에서 5골을 몰아넣으며 우승했다. 대회 MVP에 선정되며 동년배 중 단연 앞서나갔다. 동북고 1학년 때 대한축구협회 축구영재 유학프로그램의 수혜자로 선발됐다. 2007년 여름 지동원, 남태희와 함께 프리미어리그 레딩 유소년 클럽에 입성했다. 2008년 겨울까지 꼬박 1년 반을 레딩에서 보낸 후 2009년 1월 프랑스 리그1 발랑시엔에서 입단 테스트를 받았다. 긍정적인 평가였다. 하지만 계약을 위해선 만18세까지 기다려야 했다. 그해 여름 입단을 약속했던 앙투안 콩부아레 감독이 파리생제르맹으로 자리를 옮기면서 김원식의 운명은 꼬이기 시작했다. 11월생 김원식이 18세가 되기 불과 5개월 전이었다. 2부리그 아미엥에서 입단 제의가 왔지만 성에 차지 않았다. 2010년 관심을 보인 낭트에서 테스트를 받았다. 역시 좋은 평가를 받았다. 하지만 낭트가 2부리그로 추락하고, 설상가상 구단 경영난까지 겹치며 동양인 유망주를 위한 약속은 또다시 물거품이 됐다. 낭트 산하 4부리그 포FC를 전전하며 극한의 좌절을 맛봤다. 마지막 도전은 정조국이 뛰었던 오세르였다. 입단 테스트를 잘 치르고 결과를 기다리던 중 장 페르난데스 감독이 낭시로 떠났다는 소식이 들려왔다. "또!" 더 이상은 버틸 힘이 없었다. "지독히도 운이 없었다"는 위로에 김원식은 이렇게 말했다. A대표팀에서 맹활약중인 지동원과 남태희를 보면 어떠냐는 질문에 김원식은 불편해 하지 않았다. "배아플 거라 생각하시는데 그렇지 않다. 얼마나 노력하고 고생했는지 누구보다 잘 알기 때문"이라고 했다. 포지션도 다르고 축구 스타일도 다르다. 경쟁심보다는 돈독한 우정으로 똘똘 뭉쳐 있다. "태희는 차분하고 빠르고 저돌적이다. 동원이는 어떤 상황에서도 침착하다. 저돌적이진 않지만 볼을 세련되게 찬다"고 했다. 레딩 시절 벤치를 지키며 마음고생이 심했던 친구 지동원의 좋은 예를 "본받고 싶다"고 했다. "영국에서 고생했기 때문에 한국에서 그렇게 잘할 수 있었다. 고생한 게 뒤늦게 터졌다. 나도 그랬으면 좋겠다"고 했다. ▶스무살의 미드필더, 이제 다시 시작이다. 지난 여름 한국으로 돌아온 김원식은 K-리그 신인선수 선발 드래프트에 원서를 냈다. 다시 출발선에 섰다. "어느 팀이든 뽑혀서 조금이라도 경기를 뛰는 것." 소박하지만 현실적인 꿈을 밝혔다. "더 이상 내려갈 곳이 없다. 무엇이든 할 수 있을 것 같다"고 했다. 비장했다. '김원식, MF, 동북고등학교' 469명의 신인 선수 중 205번째로 이름을 올렸다. 빅리그에서 볼터치와 패싱력 등 기본기를 단단히 다졌다. 스스로 밝힌 선수로서의 장점은 안정적인 킥, 조율 능력과 강력한 피지컬, 부족한 부분은 적극성이다. 좋아하는 선수를 묻자 1초의 망설임도 없이 "김남일 선배님과 맨시티의 야야투레"라고 답했다. 하나같이 극강의 수비형 미드필더들이다. 모두가 꿈꾸는 그곳에서 다시 제자리로 돌아왔다. 프랑스에서의 시련을 "돈 주고도 살 수 없는 경험"이라는 한마디로 규정했다. 농담삼아 던진 '월북설'에 우울한 표정을 지었다. 말을 잃을 만큼 황당해 했다. "내가 얼마나 좋은 소식을 못 들려드렸으면…"이라는 혼잣말로 스스로를 돌아봤다. 그러고 보면 시련이 없는 선수는 없다. 'K-리그 최고의 별' 이동국(전북)도, '연습생 신화' 이용래(수원)도, '절친' 지동원도 바닥을 치고 날아올랐다. 푸르른 스무살에 찾아온 시련은 오히려 축복일지 모른다. 11월 9일 2012년 K-리그 드래프트에서 '축구스타K' 김원식의 도전이 다시 시작된다.

Must have forgot there for a sec which set of people working for one certain organization have told me that because he's going to FC Seoul. Ulsan youth's 권진성 and 김동혁 [both U18 national team members] refuse to join Ulsan's senior team after seeing what Kim Hogon has been doing with his younger players. Instead, they will make themselves available in the draft. 권진성 probably will get picked in the first round.
According to the BSJ forum one of the K-League team made a $750,000 offer to Masahiko Inoha who currently plays with HNK Hajduk Split, but the offer was rejected.
