Most the players are on one year with option contracts.

Unfortunately I imagine we'll see a few players move on. The combination of a title winning team and the fact that there is usually a pretty high turnover in the lower division.

That said I wouldn't mind if we kept the same squad of next year.

Other news Taylor Mueller played with the Seattle Sounder reserves this past weekened and Nicki Paterson suited up for the Red Bulls (wearing number 19)

Ryan Richter was with the Philidelphia Union as well.

Trying to track down what Jose Cuevas is up to. I know he was nursing a hamstring issue which might have kept him from heading anywhere for now.

they were on loan from Tivoli for this Battery season.

Both Dane and Navion are great players. But the Battery's slump began when they both came into the squad. I am not sure what happened but I kind of feel like the team changed its style of play to accommodate their speed and it just didn't work out.

I also felt like they may have been a little too comfortable with each other. It seemed like they typically looked for one another before they would look to another player, sometimes that bit of hesitation was all the other team needed.

The Battery won the last three matches, coincidentally both Kelly and Boyd returned to their squad in Jamaica.

It was a pretty bad slump, but in most of those games, the Battery were equal or better than the other team., only in the Harrisburg match at City Island were they dominated.

It's a shame. DC has come for the Challenge Cup for a lot of years. Hopefully a great team will come to the Cup.

It's good to see that other MLS teams are interested in looking at Nicki too. Seattle has signed a lot of Battery players in the past few years.

Good for him. Baltimore Blast attracts a good amount of fans. I didn't know until recently that the indoor game still has a good amount of popularity.

Actually it doesn't. That has sort of been their problem for the past 25 years.

the stadium pitch is getting taken to the limit this week with the Zach Brown concerts. we couldn't play on Tuesday, because 14 tractor trailer loads of equipment were there. about 12,000 tromping around today and 10,000 on Sunday.

Nike started the motions to buy Umbro a couple years ago, so I this is more of a lateral move IMO.

Nike also owns Hurley surfing and converse shoes...

Thats said here is a black and yellow Nike kit
