3-1 Ulsan . The pitch was in poor condition I wonder if it was done on purpose. If it was it clearly didn't work
No silly conspiracy theories please. Highlights of the two matches: Yes, I know. The goal was fortunate.
I predict that Ulsan and Ittihad will face each other in the final, with Ulsan winning the championship this time. Not looking very good for Bunyodkor loosing by that score on their own ground. Btw the schedule of ACL, with it overlapping two seasons, is just comedy.
While Ulsan are clear favourites for the final it's not over. As an Ittihadi I cannot forget about the 2004 ACL final. We lost the home leg 3-1 but then won 5-0 in Korea. But I would like an Ittihad v Ulsan final. We need to get back to our old tradition of being the K-League's bogeyman
The record has been tarnished recently, but we generally do knock-out Korean opponents in the ACL: Jeonbuk in 2004 S/F, Seongnam in 2004 F, Busan 2005 S/F, Seoul 2011 Q/F (versus 2 for Korean teams against Ittihad: 2009 F , 2011 S/F) Moreover we've gone and thrashed the host 5-0 twice in a row. Not a bad record
Ulsan are the clear favorites, with national team players like Kim Shin Wook, Lee Keun Hoo among others at their disposal. Ittihad are no push overs, but at the end of the day I think Ulsan has the edge. They have a stronger squad.
Well neither team has made it yet! Ulsan are a good team. Lee Keun Ho has been a beast for them. But they're weak at the back which is just as well because Ittihad is too! So if we do meet each other I'd like to think that they'll be goals on either end.
I'd ask to point out some of Ulsan's defensive lapses you've seen of them during this campaign but I suppose you'd bring up something from the last decade like you did with the boogeyman comment. Over 90% of top division clubs in this world, including Ulsan, suffer from some forms of defensive complications--and the percentage much higher if you include lower division clubs--but I fail to see any defensive weakness of Ulsan's that matches Ittihad's strengths; Nearly all your attacks end in meaningless crosses from the sideline and Ulsan's centrebacks are good at clearing them; You can't counterattack because Ulsan's central midfielders do not join in on rushed attacks. On the other end, however, guys like Al Mulliwad and Al Montashari aren't going to stop Kim Shinwook from winning the aerial battles and aren't going to stop Kwak Taehwi from being a threat in set piece situations. Advantage is with Ulsan.
Iam sorry if Koreans are use too pristine football pitches. And the reality is football is not a popular sport in korea. It is actually baseball. If you watch a league match the fan turnout are pathetic. Even with this disinterest we manage to have good pitches. I would expect countries like iran and Uzbekistan to have good pitches throughout their entire country because football is clearly by far the most popular sport.
more bitching lmao constant bitching ya'll are the biggest know it alls on the planet. The pitch in Azadi was perfect and the practice pitch you played on was good enough. Despite what you think, you're not Brazil or Agentina. We'll role out the red carpet once one of them decides to visit and that won't happen anytime soon so take what we have and stfu. Alternatively you can tap out, cuz as you say, nobody likes football anyway. P.S. the pitch Korea played on last week The pitch your team practiced on You're going mad over the brown spot that was on the practice pitch? lmao
the pitch did look like it had some disease or something. that being said it hardly matters now that Ulsan kicked some Bunyodkor ass and is almost guaranteed a final spot.
First of all I isn't say no one like football. I was saying the popularity of baseball trumps football. And I say throughout the country azadi field was perfect. IMO the practice field was goo enough but when iran visits korea we make sure ou guys get great practice pitches and treatment. So we basically treat you guys like u are a high profile team. Why can't u guys do that for us.
edlee1992, stop just stop. You are making it worst by making up bs. nimaa, stop treating this guy as if he represented the whole BSK community.
Nothing I said is false. I am just the only guy who has the balls to say it. We say this in our forum all the time.
Do you really think the Uzbeks did this on purpose? That is home stadium for the Uzbekistan national team and Bunyodkor. The pitch has been also like that and it really does not matter how bad the pitch is. If Ulsan is really a good team it does not matter where they play.
First of all I don't remember the field being this bad when our national team played. And if it is their main stadium I would expect it to be in great condition.
