Freiburg played so well for 40 min and to throw it all away in 5 min. They must be absolutely gutted. Their confidence is probably very low. We can give them a big spanking in the second half.
Sahin a second goal today and it was a pretty good finish too. Nice to see him being in great form in the most important part of the season. We will need that.
I guess nobody will be pooh-poohing Nuri Sahin today. Always been a fan, always will. And rapidly becoming a fan of Bittencourt. Could he be the real impact sub that BVB need? Match over. A nervous first 40 minutes or so, then BVB turn on the style. Ausgezeichnet!! Spielt's gut, Jungs!
Schieber seems to be in the plans for the left from Klopp. For Stutgart he always did well drifting left and from left by nature. Happy for Sahin. When on form he is simply incredible. So dynamic with vision and skill. Transitions were the fastest they were all season with him and Gündogan in middle. Sahin so good at those ghost runs into the box. Hope good form continues. And Lewandowski was again sublime.
Good work by Sahin, but if Lewandowski does not get MotM from the major media outlets in Germany then something is very wrong!
No other striker/forward outside of Messi and Suarez offer what Lewandowski does currently. Heartbreaking to think this might be his last season with the club that really made him who he is.
Was unable to watch the match, but came across this on the BVB site recap. Just before Sahin´s second goal, there had been a curious refereeing decision when referee Weiner pointed to the spot following a foul on Götze, only to reverse the decision after consulting his assistant. Thoughts?
