okay i lied... i have one more question... if i'm 18, do you think its too young for the team? i'm about to turn 19 soon. do you think they'd overlook me if, say i had the same talent as a good 21 year old... would they choose him over me?
No PDL is ideal for 18-23 years old. We have many 18-19 years old that start for us. Not only that many of them started and played against Man City & West Brom this year.
you might want to start looking at www.uslsoccer.com. The USL site usually mirrors a lot of teams press releases as well.
oh okay. thanks for the info!! i'm also wondering how the tryouts are formatted... is it just like a few scrimmages? or are there like difficult workouts and stuff?
I don't mean to be rude, but does it really matter? Why are you asking on the forum? Granted that it looks like there's a few people that can answer your questions, however it doesn't take much to either pick up the phone or send them an email. To answer your question, I would guess they scrimmage, however some teams always through in a carbon copy of a usual PDL training session with a few fitness tests. If you are in good shape, and are at the required standard, it shouldn't matter how the try-outs are formatted.
i was just curious, and considering this is a forum regarding PDL, i thought any topic was allowed to be discussed. If not, then it is my mistake and i apologize. but thank you for the answer.
