The PR Islanders' first official match of 2011 will most likely be against Walking Boyz Company in the CFU Club championship at the start of April.

They have played a friendly against Universidad Del Turabo's soccer team, which they won 4-0.

PRI will play the Carolina Railhawks in Carolina three days before the game against the Surinam team. I hate such a fast turn around the first week of the season, but I'm sure Colin Clarke has got his squad rotation figured out.

I don't like it that we have only had one friendly and it was only for the players on trial, I'm confident that the CFU wont be a problem but I don't know how we will do in the first few weeks of the NASL

I'm thinking the same thing, but I think last year was the same thing and we all know how that one ended up;)

Still, ur right. More friendlies should be had.

Problem is the league start in under two weeks, Richard Martin is going to get a trial by fire.

Leeka, thanks for the updates. What about an injury report? Hopefully, we got through this one without any major injuries.

Also any word on Steve's MRI?

When we start the season, we have four games in two weeks and three of those are on the road. We need all the depth we can get. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing it yet. But Colin is a master at juggling this schedule. So, I've got faith in his putting this together "just right".

No injury on the game, and the goals was by Hansen, Foley and Michel Reed respectively. Steven was sitting near to me, and his face looked positivism, on crutches and bandages, but smiling. I did not ask, but did not seem like such a bad thing as happened to Delgado last year who miss a lots of games on the beginning.

I've heard from some of the players that they may leave a week early to North Carolina to play some games there, apparently the team were expecting the PR USL PRO teams to be ready by now and could play some mining full friendlies with them but they have all failed to get their act together. I feel like it's going to be a long season for the USL PRO teams.

CFU 2nd round home game date changed from April 13th to April 23rd due to Walking Boyz, Co.'s flight schedule troubles. Second leg will be played on May 7th in Surinam.

While I think that first goal was pretty much one you guys lucked into, I have to say that was an absolutely gorgeous setpiece at the end there. The RailHawks could have handled it better, but the Islanders used what they were given.

Good game all around, I think.

Islanders beat Rowdies 2-0, both goals by Fana.

6 pts in 2 away games. Nice start.
