Free agency officially opens at 12:01am ET on Wednesday, November 17 with players from FC Gold Pride now all becoming free agents.

ok Andy no need (or time) to let the body get cold time to start picking at FCGP like vultures!

I know your waiting for my list of players I'd like you to acquire so heres my Top 3

    1. Ali Riley
    2. Lindsay Tarpley
    3. Tina DiMartino

If you don't get Ali then you def need to get Cox back...

    If Chicago folds....Rapinoe please.

Of course, I'd forgo ALL of these free agents if you could get Hope Solo to come here....

    :D

What free agents would you like to see in Boston next spring??

    Revs Fan,

First of all, thank you for bumping the "Bad News Trickles In" bs off the top of the forum.

We have a long list of free agents to approach, but there is no hope that we will get to everyone on your personal list.

    Dream list is:

    Marta
    Solo
    Riley
and Carney if Chicago goes down....

    My real list is:
    Kandace Wilson
    Ali Riley or Stephanie Cox
    Jenny Nobis
    Chioma Igwe
    and Carrie Dew

Should be very interesting to see what the Breakers do with the international spots they have open?

haha. tell me that wouldn't be the funniest thing ever!!

The only chance Marta is in WPS next season is if she cuts her salary dramatically....

If Chicago folds I'd like to see WPS limit foreign slots to 2 (so we can keep Kelly & Alex)....I'd rather have more American players playing here...Let the foreign players go home to train for WC

There's going to be alot of talent on these 6 teams..

My number one vote is to sign Jenny Nobis then pick up Lindsay... Jenny is the family's favorite player!

I have to admit I have mixed emotions about picking over the FCGP roster but being able to do so knowing there is another season coming our way is a whole lot better than worring about if there was going to be another season!!

    Go Breakers!!!

    Online translation:

One of the absolutely most and best players with the past season leaves Linköpngs FC. La Ikidi will after three years in LFC to play in Piteå IF that will come back in Damallsvenskan. Furthermore, it will come back Jennifer Nobis to Piteå. She played 2009 in PIF. Jenniers investment in games in WPS-league of Boston Breakers took an abrupt end at the beginning of February, when a korsband in foot was torn of.

I asked Jenny about this via twitter...haven't heard back yet.

    Matty??

Bringing Marta here would have meant saying goodbye to Kelly Smith and possibly Leslie Osbourne. While I think the Breakers could draw better with Marta and I think they could've done some things better drawing out the Brazilian communities with Fabiana, the risk is not worth it.

We've agreed to terms with our first free agent acquisition of the offseason. Announcement of the player tomorrow. Expect this to solidify a position that was held by committee in 2010.

    A hollow tree
In the context of soccer, I've only ever heard the phrase "<position> by committee" in reference to goalkeeping. "Goalkeeping by committee", yes. "Target forward by committee", no. "Holding midfielder by committee", no. "Left back by committee", no. But maybe I've just led a sheltered life.

In any case, I'll guess Nicole Barnhart.

    Very interesting...

Nothing going on tomorrow in the world of football...should be front page news!!;)

I don't think it's Barnhardt....Naeher solidified that position last year & Tony loves her! But it certainly wouldn't be the first time Tony has surprised me...

I'm gonna say RM or CB

How about Tina DiMartino or Buehler??

I am going with RM. When everyone was healthy that was the only revolving door last season. But Andy may have a different definition of committee than I do.

I thought Tarpley solidified that position...but maybe she officially played up top...but she is (was?) a free agent...and the CBs not named LePeilbet were all free agents...so yeah. one of those... Tarpley/RM or a CB...

My thought was it's a forward. Last year we had the committee of Del Rio/Weimer/Bogus. Theoretically Walsh was a member of the committee but of course she never got on the field. Tarpley did a great job last year, but she's still a free agent so I suppose it could be her.
